Not only is JeanLuc the most welcoming host, but he is also a talented artist and a superb chef. Dinner was one of the best weve ever had and my wife thought his chocolate fondant was even better.

We got a great bed, and a splendid dinner. They have a small bathroom entry so some guests may have problems, but that's fine. The dinner was great, and the wine was excellent. And then, the breakfast was good too, so this was perfect.

Overall, I would recommend visiting. A charming old chateau in a spacious setting. You're really made to feel at home by the exceptionally friendly and polite hosts. The accommodation we stayed in was lovely, with a shabby cheque finish and cozy interior. Nice shower. The countryside has a beautiful outlook. Because we were late and had to go to the neighboring village for pizza which wasn't really our style, I would advise making reservations in advance for dinner. For selection of bread, boiled eggs, and pancakes, breakfast costs more.

We reserved a room and discovered the chateau on a sizable lawn covered with mature oaks, a small chapel, a barn, and other structures. Is the chateau in its original design? The gracious host allowed me to speak French and gave me a pass for doing so. She gave us a brief history of the chateau, high ceilings, spacious rooms, reasonable prices, delicious breakfast with various pastries, hardboiled eggs, coffee, etc. Our host recommended a restaurant that served a hearty and very tasty main course 3 miles from the chateau I dont remember the name but its very memorable. The bathroom entryway is a little narrow, but everything youd need is there. The peaceful and pleasant stay. Very satisfied with our stary room and recommend it.

I would highly recommend it. In this lovely castle, we have had a great two days. Our room was large, with a wonderful view, was furnished with interesting antique furniture but had a modern touch and beautiful paintings. Very comfortable, lots of character. When we arrived, our host Jean Luc welcomed us warmly and explained the history of the house. We were able to tour the grounds and see the small chapel and the medieval old farmhouse. Absolute peace and quiet. On the first night, we had a delectable meal with a fondant chocolate dessert that was just good. Breakfast was lovely, with a variety of bread and cakes, freshly made crepes, and yogurt. We recommend this not just as a stopover on the way to Brittany, but as a place to explore. We went to an evening concert in the abbey in paimpont, walked through the woods of broceliande, walked around contort and saw a kingfisher in town in its lovely parkland, and marveled at the beautiful colored glass window in the iffendic church.
