I booked here for 3 nights in June 2012. The owner is charming and serves coffee that he specialized grinds to suit the individual drip brewing system he uses! She raised rabbits in the garage and is happy to talk french about the history of the hotel, which her parents bought in 1938 as a mill and converted into a hotel. It is a modern time capsule from 1962. The prices are reasonable, the rooms are simple, and it is close to the numerous restaurants and tourist attractions.

We were very happy to find a room available here in the middle of the festival filets bless. The hotel's location is very central. The room was old fashioned and basic but clean, comfortable, and inexpensive. Madame is charming and informative and loves her city and her hotel. Monsieur was very helpful with on-site parking in the hotel garage and even led us by moped through the road closures when we left the hotel at the end of the festival.

This was an intriguing experience. I wouldn't say it was bad, the hotel modern is run-down, adjacent to the quay and the covered city so it appears drab but is central. The rooms are clean but old very fashioned. The walls are very thin, I was shaken by heavy knocking on my wall at 10.30 and told to stop talking. The highlight of the visit is Madame who is small, old, smiles a lot and talks. Another fascination is the decor or the reception loungebreakfast room. It was clearly planned during the boom of the 1920 s, you can imagine the artists sitting and arguing, smoking and drinking pastis. Madame now has marine charts pinned to the walls, but the outline and colours of the buildings of the past are still there. Worth a visit if you want to take the adventure.

This modest but charming hotel offers a true sense of Concarneau. The owner is very kind and knows the history of the town. The location is ideal for exploring the port and central area.
