It is close to the beach and about him from the town center. The hotel has an old design with serene surroundings and a beautiful garden with an indoor pool that can be opened to let in the sun. Breakfast is a buffet style with good coffee, but the tea is a bit continental for English taste, the dinner menu is limited but very good quality. The rooms are well sized and rustic in decor.

Saint Paul, otherwise a hotel with a lot to praise, has an exception first of all its kettles!Neither in the room nor available upon request. The first night I was given a thermos, which had been only used to contain coffee, so the water was foul before I poured it on the yorkshire gold. The second night, I purchased my own kettle from the local super u for 22 dollars and left it behind for the protection of future British citizens. Ask for it! The hotel is located near Victorian, semi-rural area of town, close to historic, restored bathing homes at the Place des Dames, which are well worth a visit. It has a mature garden with a spa and heated pool, neither of which was sampled but appeared good. At breakfast and reception, service was courteous. Breakfast was actually British, with ample bacon among the decent offers at 12 a person. The room was simple in keeping with the three-star category, and it was interesting to see a Victorian-era photo of the hotel with our room on the wall.

We had a week driving up the west coast of France tasting seafood. This lovely place was open on Sunday and Monday for food, a rarity in this part of France and what a find it was. A lovely, characterful old hotel in the bourgeois style but with beautiful, comfortable, and modern rooms and delicious food served by the lovely staff. We will be back.

The room had a very unpleasant musty, ancient odor, despite having the windows closed all the time. I specifically asked for a peaceful room. The room we were given 40 was above the entry door, noisy with people talking and cars coming and going and people smoking all evening. We could also hear everything from the next door room, including their singing in the shower at 11 pm toiling. Beds were hard, with squeaky springs. The location is good, very close to the beach in a quiet neighborhood. White bedding. Room appeared clean. Small room. The bathroom tap was loose and there was a bare cable behind the tap to open the plug. The lobby is attractive, the upper stairs and hallways are tacky. The bath mat had frayed edges. Bedside tables have many stains if used. Had to pull beds away from walls to access power. The garden area is nice. Parking is available on the street. There are bikes available for hire, although the receptionist refused to let me rent one for the evening. She said I had to rent it for the entire day and only until rp. Hard to comprehend why, when we saw none of the bikes were used that evening. unlikely to return.

A lovely countryside motel near the beach. Except for the country lane outside, there is no parking at the hotel, which is fine unless you arrive in the afternoon on an extremely hot august afternoon, when everyone is at the beach and there isn't space to be had. Not the best of arrivals. We had a garden room, which was pretty basic but very nice, with a separate toilet and shower room and french windows looking out over the garden. There is also a swimming pool, which was a wonderful way to cool off. The meal was served in the courtyard and was excellent. Worth the long wait. The chef certainly knows her palate, and the presentation of the food was excellent. The starter of foie gras and scallops was simply delicious. Breakfast the next morning was self-service and abundant.
