This is only a short distance, within walking distance from the city center if you drive up from Switzerland and leave at a base. There are plenty of parking lots and public spaces close to the hotel. Although the hotel appears to be brand new, I suspect it has a good history. Indeed, it appeared to have only recently undergone construction. A hotel elevator leads you up to the first-floor bedrooms, a good wifi signal, and a breakfast area separate from the main dining area. Excellent breakfast buffet. When the weather permits, there are a few tables in the front where you may have a drink.

This hotel deserves five stars, in summary! I would recommend this location to business travellers, families, or couples alike. Bartenheim is a typical Alsatian small town that is located in the countryside on the highway from switzerland to the north. When visiting the town, you will find several restaurants, two bakeries offering genuinely delicious bread, two butcher shops, a pharmacy, the post office, a bank, and a general store that are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. The owners take care of everything and provide you with quality. You will be 10 minutes from the base euro airport, 15 minutes from the Swiss border and base, 20 minutes from milhouse, 35 minutes from collar and the wine county route des wins, and approximately an hour from Strasbourg if you hop in your car. It would be wonderful to return.

I have a fantastic notion of what a threestar hotel in Bartenheim would look like after reading some previous evaluations. But things changed somewhat. I wont discuss the lack of warm greetings or the unprofessional staff. Any customer would like to have the impression that they are privileged and welcome after a long journey, but they wont. The meals I could recall were the only strong points of this location, which werent awful at all. Quite costly, and the portions are modest for the cost. One could say its Bouquets du grand est! There are some rooms above the kitchen, making it smelly. They know it because the hallway windows are kept open. In addition, there are some loud air vents in the backyard just 2 meters from the window, which wont let you slumber while window is left open. There isnt a scenic view, however. You may occasionally hear the takeoff noise from the nearby airport. Although the rooms are immaculate, the ceiling is unexpectedly low, just as it is for some taller hobbits. There is no air conditioning. That's all, I hope it helps. Best of luck.

Our room was quiet, comfortable and well furnished. This is the stop on our journey to Italy. Breakfast is plentiful. Good wifi and free onsite parking. The hotel restaurant and bar are great.

Another friend who lives in the neighborhood found Au lion rouge. It's a hotel and restaurant, the restaurant is great, absolutely amazing food and service. A must see if you're in the area.
