So it is all about location. Price. The rooms are very dated and smelly. The guest was nice. The bed was very comfortable. However, one of our party had a terrible bed. It was literally broken. The shower was awful. There was not enough hot water at times.

I wanted to visit the city and attend a day course in Hamburg, Germany, but I didnt want to pay a lot of money to stay here. Despite the fact that the reviews on TripAdvisor were outdated, I made arrangements for the Hotel Lafayette. I had a good choice with this location! The Red Light District of the Reedbahn is just around the corner, but far enough away from noise and the River Rough. It was very convenient that the hotel was conveniently located between a supermarket and the subway. I was about to walk everywhere or a few subway stops away. Due to the cleanliness, security, and low price, I'll come back here again. The free WiFi wasn't too bad either!.

I think this place is OK to sleep in. However, the staff was very pleasant and quiet as well. But, when we arrived, it seemed that there was only one person rather than two. The softboiled eggs in the hotel are also not tasty.

Overall, a great experience. I needed a place to stay in hamburg for three days before and one day after sunrise outdoor. The rest of my party had already decided to remain in it Paul, so I followed suit. All I needed was a place to prepare my belongings and rest after the festival before continuing my trip. I had far more. The room was big enough, and the bathroom was large and cozy. The WiFi reception was excellent both in the room and in the breakfast area. I had read previous reviews that it was bad, but that wasnt the case for me. They fixed it, I guess breakfast is extra, but it's worth it. Room access is via stairs or an elevator. The location is fantastic, right around the corner from the intersection of Grow Freshest and Reeperbahn, which means it can be fairly noisy at night. I stayed up until late at night on Saturday night. Other nights it was fine. The staff is friendly and gave me some suggestions for things to do in hamburg.
