We did not stay at the hotel but did eat at their restaurant. It was great. The staff was very efficient and the fillet was one of the best I have ever had. It started pouring while we were there and the hoard of guests moving inside did not faze the staff.

The hotel management is Leone that will help us to serve our guests better and give more advise on everything. Maia also managed breakfast. The location is not much better.

The stairs you use to carry your luggage because there is no elevator in this hotel were beautifully decorated. The rooms were clean. The location is good but there are many shady people loitering around this hotel. There are not good intentions people around when you walk through the area.

The hotel is located in the heart of Munich. The food market, marienplatz, and hofbrau are all within easy walking distance of the hotel. The personnel was very welcoming. After having transportation issues, when we first arrived, the manager offered us a drink from the bar after we were tired and dissatisfied. The room was modest but adequate for our needs. The carpet has seen better days. People with large bags must climb a spiral staircase because there isn't an elevator. The rooms are above a bar. It's loud at night with a lot of happy party people. For their visitors, the hotel provides earplugs. In Munich during a heat wave, we stayed. There was a water cooler and a fan, but the room was extremely hot outside with a 90-degree temperature.

After a few long abandoned trips, I returned to Hotel Lux for the first time. Very centrally located. The bar and restaurant on the ground level serves breakfast and check-in. Excellent service. Marienplatz and its barn station are only a few hundred meters away. The Hofbrauhaus is closer. There are many excellent dining options in the neighborhood, and dining in the hotel is a simple way to enjoy good food if you can't do so without climbing a few stairs, you won't like it here. Because it's in a busy area, you will be hearing some street noise while you open your windows and look out over the street.
