The location is conveniently right at the Centre of all the Actions and Tourist Attractions. Hotel Schlicker is 2 minutes walk away to the Viktualienmarkt. The Heilig Geist Kirche is just right next door. Hotel Schlicker is also a 3 minute walk on foot away to Marienplatz. I can hear all the Churches' Bells rang in my hotel room. I can even hear the Famous Glockenspiel Chimed and Rang in my hotel room. The staff are impeccable, way above expectations and very friendly. I happened to bum into the Hotel Schlicker Chief Hotel Manager Himself. The Hotel Manager is very wise, very generous, and a very forgiven Manager. To be a Manager is like being a King or an Emperor. The hotel room is very clean and the Housekeeping is done daily. The Bath Soap and the Hand Soap topped up the next day. Even the Toilet Tissues filled up too. I only stayed 3 Nights in Hotel Schlicker. The Complimentary Included Morning Breakfast is so so ample and has so much variety of choices. There are not just bananas and apples. There are even Red Grapes, Green Grapes, Strawberries and Watermelons. I have never seen Watermelons in any other hotels' breakfasts. The particular and the Stand Out of the Crowds Breakfast Buffet Server in the Dining Room. It's too bad I did not ask for his NAME. He said he is from MOROCCO and immigrated to Germany. He is very very friendly and very outgoing. I guessed this Moroccan Tall Thin Gentleman Server has seen so many International Foreigner Travellers.

The hotel was lovely - very welcoming staff and the breakfast was exceptional and delicious, and the breakfast staff were always so cheerful and helpful. The area courtyard where the breakfast is served is just lovely! The room was bright, the beds were comfortable and the shower head was awesome. The location is very close to the marianplatz and the market stalls so perfect for all the action and sights with easy access to the U for getting around further out.

A nice small German small hotel in the mid of downtown (Altstadt) very convenient. Rooms are very small European small hotel style, but comfortable enough with a heating system working perfectly (individually controlled and nice bedding, shower with good pressure. No luxury at all, but good breakfast and nice details as Umbrellas available for guests (pretty useful in Germany…)

İt is always a pleasure to stay in Hotel Schlicker, first of all the location is just perfect. Near Marienplatz S bahn a 2 min walking distance to the S Bahn where you can just easily get to the Airport. Breakfast used to be richer but still very good. Employees are very friendly so in all perfect place to stay in Munich old city.

Certainly the best ‘downtown’ hotel I have ever stayed in in 46 years of traveling to Europe. We were on the fourth floor overlooking the Main Street (Tal). When the window was closed, the room was silent. The room was air-conditioned which was fantastic. The breakfast service was fantastic. Great selection of food and by the fourth morning, they brought or coffee and tea to us directly. The Rollmops were the best I have ever eaten. Great selection of meat, cheese, bread and fruit was offered. The front desk was very helpful. Easy walking distance to Marienplatz S-Bahn station (however, if there was a down escalator, I could not find it). Many, many nearby restaurants. There was even a REWE store down the street. Many nearby churches including the Münchner Dom. Viktualenmarkt was ‚around the corner.‘ We highly recommend this hotel!
