My host was waiting outside the hotel, ready to direct us to the parking lot in the back he must have heard us coming. After a long journey from garmischpartenkirchrn, we were hot, thirsty, and exhausted. Peter? Our rooms were assigned very quickly with nice cold beers in our hands. Peter is a lovely hospitable person. He set up a big screen in his marquee so we could watch the England-Cretia game, and he also ordered and collected pizza for us. Our drinks were brought to us as and when we needed them. Although not the best place we have stayed in, the hotel was clean. It was OK for an overnight stop. The friendliness of Peter made up for the lack of more salubrious surroundings. We had a fantastic night, and breakfast was plentiful for our needs. We may never visit that region again, but we will always remember our experience there.

I thought I would write a retrospective review following our May visit this year. Reading some of the other website reviews makes me sometimes unsure what we Brits expect from an overnight stay. We arrived an hour or so behind our friends who were enjoying beers on their balcony back in the hotel, facing a sizable pawned and wooded area. Peter the owner welcomed us, he was a perfect gentleman with a hospitable and attentive demeanor and was obviously proud of what he had accomplished in home decor. He led us to our room, which overlooked a major street. This bedroom was big with a very retro design and atmosphere, which were suitable for us to the ground. The overall effect was like stepping back in time for the 1970 s, but we felt comfortable. Peter's brunch the next morning was excellent, and the boiled eggs were prepared to perfection. Ok, it might seem outdated and tired, but we just felt at home and at ease. Next May, we plan to return for two nights and try the restaurant. Peter, congratulations, we hope to see you in May. Der Lenzkircher Hof war geschlossen, wir konnten trotz Buchungsbestätigung nicht im Lenzkircher Hof übernachten! Für Übernachtungsgäste wurde eine Handynummer angegeben, leider keine Rückmeldung! Es war KEINE Übernachtung möglich!
