The restaurant and gaststube have a good location. Parking is close to the hotel. Prom is only 10 minutes by car, and schonecken is 10 minutes by car to go hiking. There are some restaurants and terraces for a drink in prom. My husband and I stayed here with our adult kids for a relaxing weekend in march. We ordered three rooms for our family, Kurt Mal. The check-in process went smoothly, and the rooms were big, tidy, and had a nice outlook from the balcony. The beds were excellent, and the room itself was quiet. Especially on the first day, we disliked the smell downstairs in the reception desk and in the gaststube. The smell was a very unpleasant chemical, smoke, and combined with a strong frying air. We did tell the staff about this and opened the windows for some fresh air. The scent was from the wild garlic in the forest, according to the staff. We questioned it but kept the windows open. We ordered the welcome set as part of the arrangement in the gaststube, but we missed the personal touch and warm welcome. It was a bit distant and cool, no interaction, no interest. The rooms are not very large, but they are comfortable. Bathroom and shower are definitely very small and not big enough to move around easily. At arrival it was nice to get a bottle of gerolsteiner water, but if you are staying longer you should request that it be replaced when empty. The wellness area has a pool, gym, steam room, ir sauna and Finnish sauna. It would be nice to have drinking water and soap in the shower. Excellent food and pleasant service at the restaurant. Breakfast has everything you need including bread, juice, coffee in various ways, cereals, yogurt, scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, meat and cheese, jam, honey, choco paste, and fresh fruit. Dinner is a 4-course menu with a choice of main course out of 3 different dishes. Even vegetarians are allowed. All drinks are acceptable prices. If you remain at this hotel its good value for money.

We stumbled upon this hotel quite unintentionally. It doesn't seem particularly appealing from the outside, but inside, it is a pleasant surprise. A very friendly and effective check with the legal check on the covidpassport promised a nice stay. We received a superclean, spacious room with everything one required, and a balcony with a lovely view of the surroundings. We had set up breakfast and a four-course dinner. The service was excellent, and the food quality was excellent. The only negative comment would be the size of the bathroom. It is extremely small, the shower is very narrow and not yet modernised. They could and should do something about that! Overall, a place to go back to!.
