The hotel is located in a very peaceful and quiet area. The employee who was there that day was very accommodating. The room was large, especially compared to a typical hotel room in a typical icelandic area, and the beds were comfortable. This hotel has an industrial feel, but I think they take advantage of the location on the ring road, the lack of accommodation in the area, and the toilets there. The rooms are also very spacious and the beds are comfortable. They offer excellent food, mostly fresh and local!

This guesthouse is in a bad position compared to other guesthouses. The only 2 toilets downstairs were the upstairs, our room was not serviced with new towels or a garbage can cleared. Breakfast was good but nothing homemade. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Overall, a pleasant stay. Because the rooms aren't particularly big, I would not necessarily suggest this for longer stays. But, I believe this worked for an overnight stay! For what my wife and I thought was a reasonable price in comparison to some of the other lodgings on the ice area, this was a lovely little location. It shares a national forest with a glacier and was backed up by a lovely little waterfall. The famous diamond beach was not far away. The breakfast included in this stay was one of the nicest points. Ava even made homemade muffins. Nice touch! The communal restrooms were upstairs as the only area I would really dislike. There were two. Both were clean and very spacious. But it's a bit of a walk at night to get to the restroom.

I will stay here again. Building is new and comfortable. Spacious and clean. The host was amazing! She went out of her way to find us a place to eat dinner when we arrived after most local restaurants had closed. Breakfast was delicious and her travel advice was very helpful.
