Children below 18 years of age are not permitted entry/stay at any of our hostels, with or without guardians. We do not recommend families.
Drugs and any substance abuse is strictly banned inside and around the property.
Guests are not permitted to bring outsiders inside the hostel campus.
Guests must provide a valid form of government regulated identification (eg. passport, ID card, driver’s license, etc.) upon check-in.
In the event of an unpaid reservation, kindly contact the property within 24 hours of creating your booking to complete a 100% pre-payment. Failure to do so will result in an irreversible cancellation of your booking from our end.
Our standard check-in time is 1 PM and the standard check-out time is 10 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability, and may also attract an additional fee at the property's discretion.
Outside food is strictly prohibited at the premises.

The minimum age required to stay at this property is 18 years.
The property does not accept group bookings of more than 8 people.
The property does not allow joiners or visitors.
The property is unable to guarantee that all beds booked for group bookings will be in the same hostel room.
We believe in self-help and do not provide luggage assistance or room services.
We maintain strict quiet hours from 22:30 - 08:00
We only accept a government ID as valid identification proof. No local IDs shall be accepted at the time of check-in.
We strictly DO NOT allow a group of more than 8 people. In case of a group of 4 or more, you might be purposefully allotted different dorm rooms. Further, if the group behaviour is deemed unfit at the property, the Zostel Property Manager, upon subjective evaluation, retains the full right to take required action which may also result in an on-spot cancellation without refunds.
- Alternately, take a bus to Thodupuzha. From here, buses to Vagamon leave at 7:50 AM, 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM. For more frequent buses, follow this bus route: Thodupuzha > Erattupetta > Kurishumala Jn (Vagamon).
- Alternatively, buses from Kottayam directly to Vagamon or via Erattupetta are available between 5:15 AM and 7 PM. So get down at Kurishumala Junction.
- By Bus from Bangalore/Chennai:Follow this bus route: Bangalore>Pala> Vagamon (Kurishumala Junction)
- From Cochin International Airport: 100 km, 3.5 hours, ~INR 4,000 for a prepaid taxi to Zostel Vagamon.
- From Kottayam Railway Station: 65 km, 2.5 hrs, ~INR 2,500 for a taxi to Zostel Vagamon.
- Landmark: Kurishumala Junction, 1 km, ~INR 70 for a tuk-tuk.
Please note that any changes in tax structure due to government policies will result in revised taxes, which will be applicable to all reservations and will be charged additionally during check out.
