Our stay in rote at Boa Vida was wonderful. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Right on the beach, with perfect, sandbox views. The beach has a few buildings coming up, but it's still quite deserted, which was amazing. The house is lovely. Simple, clean, comfy, and open to nature, the real star of the show! The food was excellent, and they were incredibly accommodating to my vegetarianism and my mom's dietary restrictions. The staff was lovely. very helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The island itself is pure untidy magic. We largely surfed, ate, and relaxed, but we did go on a fun kayak excursion through the mangroves. I heartily suggest Boa Vida and Roe. I will be back soon!.

This place is very nice and clean, and very relaxing. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The staff is helpful and the food is really good. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom has fresh water. Locally, you can kayak in the mangroves which is the best activity. It is fun to fish, spearfish, and surf in the clear blue waters. The sound of the waves at night was very amazing. Can't wait to come back one day.

The location is nice, and the house is very cute, clean, beautiful decorated, and designed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious especially the chocolate lavender cake. I can't wait to return and recommend it to surfers and non surfers alike.

I absolutely will return. I had a great time staying at B&R in Rethor. The house is beautiful, and it is very magical to wake up to the sound of the ocean from your bed. You can find a righthand surf break right out front, which you can enter via the bed or while relaxing in the hammock. I had it all to myself on some days! The staffs food was excellent and varied, not always correctly combined. The massage was excellent, and it was in one of the best places I have ever had a massage. Feeling really well taken care of. Even little details like refilling glass water bottles rather than handing out plastic ones were taken into account.

Overall, I couldn't have been happier and will definitely come back for a longer stay. We stayed in the bigger house at Boa Vida in June 2021 and have to say that it was an unforgettable experience. The house itself is beautiful, with 2 bedrooms one on an extra mezzanine level, a really nice living area with a large table, sofa, an easy place to hang around, get work done, and a pleasure to come to at the end of a day of surfing. I wake up each morning to the sight of a boa surf break from my window. Delicious breakfast smoothie bowl, eggs toast coffee. We had our own private access to the beach, and high is literally a stone throw away. This was great for surfing, swimming, and there was even a little hidden bay that offered even more privacy. Snorkeling was amazing, beautiful corals and fish life just off the reef you need to time it with the tides. The staff could not have taken care of us better, from servicing the rooms to cooking up new takes on Indonesian western cuisine with fresh, healthy ingredients. Oh, and definitely try the chocolate lava cake! Theres a lovely communal area on the cliff facing that overlooks the bay, perfect for relaxing in the hammock and watching the occasional whale cruise by. Thank you Carla and all the staff boa bid for such a wonderful time.
