Saya mengetahui tempat ini dari teman yang pernah menginap disini. Meskipun hotelnya tidak terlalu besar, namun saya sangat terkesan dengan keramahan staf di hotel ini. Stafnya sangat ramah. Meskipun kamarnya tidak terlalu luas, namun tetap bersih dan nyaman untuk beristirahat.

Lokasinya berada di Kaliurang di lereng Gunung Merapi. Tempat ini sangat cocok bagi yang ingin trekking ke Gunung Merapi karena di sini juga menyediakan pemandu bagi yang ingin trekking. Tempatnya masih peninggalan kolonial tetapi masih nyaman dan enak untuk nongkrong. Di malam hari kita bisa ngopi sambil memandang bintang di langit yang terlihat jelas dan indah banget pemandangannya.

The atmosphere was serene. Christian is such a beautiful person that it makes him enjoy his life there because he was on seven different vessels that went down in the sea years ago! The staffs hospitality was firstrate. The volcanologists hill was fantastic for photography, but be quick, those clouds move very quickly! I havent been there in thirty or thirty years, yet kaliurang and Christian will always be in my heart, and it is the one place in this world that i would love to return to.

Since the 2018 eruption, merapi has been closed to visitors, but we went on a morning trekking tour around the foothills and the base of the village, which provided some fantastic views and knowledge about the villagers life. Christian was such empathetic, giving us countless meals after the tour, and his son, mavis, took excellent care of us during the hike.

The rooms are basic and the water is lukewarm. Christian, however, is the real attraction of this place. Hes very knowledgeable and attentive and gave us lots of tips and information about merapi during our 3 days there. Please go and stay so that he can start putting some money back into the place after the pandemic affected trade. The food is also delicious.

Christian owns the house and has been taking tourists to the volcano for over 40 years. We didnt live with him, but his son took us to an observation deck of the volcanic. I recommend this family of guides to all adventure seekers.

Saya belum pernah mencoba menginap, baru makan saja. Secara keseluruhan, harga dan rasa sangat sebanding. Malah cenderung murah. Pemiliknya adalah kakek dan nenek. Lokasinya dekat dengan Kaliurang Park. Bisa menjadi langganan jika ke Kaliurang lagi. Lain kali saya akan mencoba menginap di hostelnya.

Not a luxurious hostel but did what it said on the tin in terms of amenities. Fascinating man, Christian, who runs the hostel and guided us on opulent hikes up the foothills of merapi (highly recommended) made us feel very comfortable and at home. We didnt want to leave.

Kebersihannya cukup baik karena rumah tua. Lokasinya strategis. Makanannya enak dan berbeda dengan yang lain. Menu favorit saya adalah bakmi goreng, ayam Paniki, dan bestik ayam.
