We loved our final stay in Ireland. The staff were so very helpful and staying in a castle complete with history was a plus. We recommend that everyone make this a destination on their Ireland trip!

The four of us stayed at the Clontarf Castle Hotel for two nights just before our tour of Ireland. We had planned this stay for months and we were not disappointed. In fact, as we drove up the roadway to the hotel, we noticed the meticulously groomed gardens and sitting areas. it was wonderful first impression. Our first impression of the hotel was one of delight and anticipation. The castle looked breathtaking, magical and medieval. Everything we expected and more. The hotel's history in the Dublin area is well founded. As we walked inside to the reception desk, old medieval plate armor statues greeted us. Ancient artifacts hung on the walls. Our first relaxed drinks were taken inside a small and curiously hidden room we called the dungeon. Our rooms were large, clean and comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Staff were so friendly. The Knights bar was an excellent choice for meals and drinks. I could go on and on. Now don't forget about the very ancient cemetery that sits beside this hotel. A visit to this haunting location is a must for anyone who likes medieval stories and history. So if you want a bit of magic and medieval influence in your life, stay at the Clontarf Castle Hotel. You won't be disappointed and I'm sure it will be your hotel of choice on your next visit to Dublin.

We stayed here for one night before flying back to the US from Dublin. It was a nice way to end a long trip. Very comfortable rooms and beds and peaceful, beautiful grounds. The drinks in the bar were good and breakfast in the morning was perfect before heading to the airport.

Clean room and very nice bathroom. The castle is very cool to explore. The restaurants within were phenomenal. Easy walk to the bay front or even 30 min walk to St Anne's park. Friendly staff and very accommodating.

From the moment of our arrival to checkout it was perfect. The staff was friendly, welcoming and professional. The rooms were large and comfortable. There were two cozy chairs and a small, round wooden table in the corner, and a long writing desk with refrigerator and other amenities on one wall. The king size bed was super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was exquisite, and the service there was top notch as well. The location itself is quiet and tranquil. You can get into nearby City Centre easily by bus or taxi. In fact, I walked it several times on the beautiful path Clontarf Promenade. And, of course, for history buffs the hotel is in the general location of the famous 1014 Battle of Clontarf, pitting the great Irish High King Brian Boru against the coalition forces of Leinster and foreign Viking mercenaries. You absolutely cannot go wrong with the Clontarf Castle Hotel. I’m from California and it was my first time in Ireland. I will definitely return.

My daughter wanted to stay in a castle but the prices didn't match our budget. I found this hotel and it was the best for both of us. The hotel is beautiful and the beds are soft and comfortable. Only downside, which would have made me reconsider staying there, is that it is a 20 minute taxi ride from city center. As much as I enjoyed the hotel, for the quick time I had in Dublin, I would have preferred to be closer.

This was an amazing hotel, beautiful and peaceful. The only downside was that it was not close to any restaurants or shopping if you didn’t have a car, but you could easily get a taxi. There were two restaurants inside for upscale dining options. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. So glad we were able to stay here.
