I have recently spent 6 nights here. Very pleasant and calm, a great bar, and an excellent host. Variety in breakfasts. Piazza, ferry stage, and many restaurants, including the excellent Sottosopra, are all within a short walk, and you won't want to miss it. I had a beautiful lake view. EUR15 will be charged from stress station if you don't have a car. The city's gardens are now a public space. The church and separate batisterio are well worth a visit or two.

We booked two rooms online and used the same credit card. The credit card was not working for the second room. We had to book the second room in the other couples name, but we paid with the same credit card, surprisingly the payment went through. The hotel claimed the credit card machine could not work unless the payment was greater than 50 and we were refused to pay a bar bill by card. We booked two standard rooms with balconies, but the hotel claimed they upgraded us from economy to standard. The room was clean but needs a better bed and better cleanliness.

Our time at the hotel azalea was wonderful. It is situated in the heart of the hamlet, close to restaurants and the lakeside. There was plenty of free parking on-site. We stayed in a superior room on the ground floor with a lake view and a terrace. It was spotless, bright, and cozy, with stunning lake views, however, our room's balcony, number 405, was slightly blocked by a pitched roof, so the balustrade was higher. On the terrace, which was obscured by the roof above, we had wicker chairs and a table and chairs. The bed was a large comfortable double. The bathroom was neat and effective. Fruits, bakery products, cold meats, cheese, and other meals were all good breakfast. We typically finished breakfast by taking our coffees outside to relax on the sofas by the pool. Although small, the poolside lounges were really comfortable, and the poolside lounges were nice. Bar rates were fair, and the staff were charming and welcoming.

An otherwise pleasant stay ended in the last few minutes, when I wanted to pay! The hotel is a mirage institution, with the absence of a restaurant as its main draw. It is clean and well-maintained, though it might use some modernization and a few coats of paint. It has a free open car park and I was able to find a spot every day. Be aware that tight streets and a oneway system dictate that it is essential to enter the hotel by car from the ssp via Montegrappa and via Margherita. Breakfast is essentially selfservice, consisting of cereal, cold meats, bread, and pastries. If youre an Englishman who insists on fried pie and bacon, that's perfect! At checkout, I gave a free ball from a man at reception. I received a euros prepaid card. The bloke had some initial difficulty in getting the machine to work and began mutter about it cabin's exchange rate. I explained there was no need for an exchange rate because the card was in euros. Additionally, a piece of paper emerges out of the machine, with a sterling sum in it. I went to a cash machine afraid of a doctor and having to pay twice to recover to euros.
