We stayed here for 2 nights. We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children. The lift was really old but fun. The room was very large and comfortable and had a lot of storage. The window opened to a narrow space between the storage room. The lady who checked us in was really nice and friendly and helpful. There was no coffee machine in the room, so it was annoying. Bathroom tiles are worn out. The shower is really small even for a skinny person, and you have barely any room to turn around. The sewer was coming out of the drains and we had to cover the drains to get rid of the smell. The location was very convenient, a short walk to the domo and other attractions and a 10-minute walk to Santa Maria Novella station. I would not recommend this hotel.

This family hotel is in the center of Venice, close to the Arns River, the historical center of Venice, and last but not least all fashion streets. This hotel is located on the second floor of an ancient and historic building. The surrounding area is a rich area with pubs and restaurants. The way of running this hotel is smooth, polite, and customer oriented indeed! Because I spent 53, 10 nights with breakfast, this hotel is worth it for the price. By the way, I had a cup of Italian Expresso and some pie pieces during breakfast. The room was clean and well-furnished with ancient furnishings. Only the small bathroom in my room has a flaw. My trip was wonderful with the exception of the hotel in Florence, the hotel golden. We had a terrible encounter with them which has not yet been resolved. When we checked in at the Hotel in Rome, the receptionist requested our passports to be checked. They scanned it and returned our passports to us right away. This wasnt the case at the Hotel Golden. We had just left the train station in pouring rain when we checked in, so we were exhausted and not at our best. We checked in and the older receptionist asked for our passports. We get our room number, enjoy our 2 days and 2 nights in Florence, complete check out from the hotel golden, and take a wonderful train ride to Venice. We are asked for our passports when we first get to our hotel in a hotel in Venice to check in. We stopped both because we were thinking: "Worst place are our passports?" The Hotel golden replied over the phone that our only options were to ask them for our credit card information to hire someone to drive the passports to us, or to call the embassy in Rome to arrange it all out. When we arrive at the hotel, we are exhausted and need answers to why our passports are never returned despite the fact that they havent even returned our passports. The hotel took them, scan, and return them within minutes. Its like a store swipe

The rooms at the hotel are very spacious, we have two for our family of five. Excellent location near the Ano and Ponte Vecchio. The room was quiet. A cab that could take five people to the airport was arranged by the night clerk gentleman quite early on our departure day. He doesn't speak much English, and I don't speak Italian, but our large cab arrived on time! Grazie mille hotel golden!.
