You should stay here if you want to be a pagan. On a street teeming with impressive historical, stunning, and magical temples, Zenkouji Fuchinobo is located at the gate of Zenkoji temple. Through our stay here, we were greeted by the employees with such care, warmth, and warmth. Because we were the only visitors at that time, we had a private break from ourselves. It was among the most tranquil and spiritual stays weve ever experienced in Japan. Due to the beauty of this location, the snow was beginning to descend, and it seemed like we were in a fairy tale. We slept with the most comfy futons and our bellies were filled with the amazingly tasty meals here. For me as a vegetarian, and shoji yori, our room was stunning. It was a dream! As buddhist vegetarian food, and vegetarian cuisine, we were served. It was one of my favorite meals in Japan, which my husband does not eats. The morning meditation service at Zenkoji, which featured a wonderful Englishspeaking guide, was also enjoyable. We appreciate the excellent service, attention, and kindness from the staff during our time here. Thank you for making our stay special!.4.8/512 Jul 2022

We had a weeknight here and our room in this hotel had three spacious and tastefully decorated tatami bedrooms, a sitting room, a sleeping room, and a dining area. The futon was warm and comfy. The heating and wifi work well. The shoji yori vegetarian dinner and breakfast were delicious, satisfying, and beautifully presented. The staff even arranged for an Englishspeaking guide to take us to the early morning service at Zenkoji. Like everyone else we encountered in pagan culture, our guide was hospitable and knowledgeable. Our visit to Zenkoji and our visit to Fuchinobo will be treasured. A few notes as a shukubo. The majority of the visitors rise early for Zenkojis dawn service around 600 am. The bathrooms close at 900 am. The bedrooms are lovely, but be aware of the shared bathroom facilities. The basement has mens and womens start bath facilities. All of the facilities are exceptionally clean and functional. Knowing we were foreigners, the staff was kind enough to reserve one of the baths for us for our private use. In Pagan Zenkoji, Zenkoji is a wonderful location to stop over between Kanazawa and Tokyo. The trip will be even more memorable if you stay in Fuchinobo or at least a shoji yori meal.4.6/529 Apr 2022

What else can I say? We relish traveling, observing cultures, and sightseeing. This buddhist residence is as traditional as it can be and completely different from the typical hostel that tourists commonly remain in. A small mansion with perhaps 34 traditional furnished rooms. The toilet is outside the room but on the same floor. The private hot shower is in the basement. The staff is very friendly and polite. Even though the vegetarian meal was well presented and plentiful. The location is excellent, a 1 minute walk to the Zenkoji temple. Must go.4.6/51 Apr 2022

We wrote to fuchinobo in pagan to ask for a one-night stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the quick and positive response. Took the Shinkansen to pagan and a short taxi ride to Zenkouji entrance, the cute temple roman was right there, less than one minute walk from taxi dropoff. Room was spacious, with two rooms with separate sleeping and eating areas. Bed futon was thin compare to others, dinner was served in the room with nice varieties of vegetarian meals. Service was excellent. Bow, there was no private bathroom, so we had to walk down the hallway in the middle of night when nature called. The next morning we were greeted by volunteers who kindly showed us the temple and helped us participate in the morning service. The three nicest ladies were so proud to share the temple history with us. Zenkeuji was gorgeous, but a bit on the commercial side with too many shops and vending machines around the 1600 year old establishment. Overall this is a very unique and precious experience, greatly different from ordinary hotels.4.4/59 Jul 2023

This must have been among our top two most requested locations while on our Japanese honeymoon! You are literally right outside the Zenkoji Temple's main entrance, and many stores and restaurants are easily accessible on foot. The staff is outstanding, incredibly pleasant, and welcoming. Beware of any language barriers. We were able to communicate, and if something got worse, use photographs! Our time here was made extra special by being the only guests there for the evening. The primary temple road and the stunning snowy mountains were both visible from our room, which was a lovely sight. All vegetarian, the shoji yori cuisine is delicious! 100, for pricing, quality, and flavor. We would most definitely return! Just a note, there are some rigged curfew guidelines that you should be aware of. Dinner is served around 600 p.m., and baths are closed at 900 p.m. You are not permitted to leave the inn after 900 p.m. We participated in an early morning service at Zenkoji, which we heartily endorse. It's a truly unique experience! A helpful and knowledgeable Englishspeaking guide will accompany you! We had the incredible opportunity to stay here because this location is truly unique. Would advise, but be aware that you are sleeping on futons rather than mattresses.Popular Facilities
