This is the hotel we keep coming back to whenever we visit Tokyo — and our two-night stay from June 3rd reminded us exactly why. We had a small special request before our arrival, and the way the team responded genuinely moved us. It didn’t feel like a routine reply; it felt like someone actually cared. That kind of warmth is hard to find, and it set the tone for the entire stay. The bedding was wonderfully comfortable — we slept better than we had in a long time. The garden is quietly beautiful, the kind of place that makes you forget you’re in the middle of one of the world’s busiest cities. Having access to the dining and facilities across three properties — Grand Prince Takanawa, Shin Takanawa, and The Prince Sakura Tower — turned out to be far more convenient than we expected. And the easy access to Takanawa Gateway City made getting around a breeze. We’ll be back. No question.

Very nice 5 star hotel. The rooms has nice view of the city. Worth the extra cost The beds are comfortable. I prefer separate toilet and bath. I also prefer deeper bath to soak in since they offer bath salts. The hotel offers various upgraded eating establishments - more reasonable restaurants nearby at Shinagawa Station 10 min walk

Great place to stay! Essentially located and near a very large public transportation hub that allow us to link up to the rest of the city as well as traveling outside of Tokyo. The grounds were beautiful and the ambience was incredible!! Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Very nice hotel with a beautiful Japanese garden. Room and bed were comfortable. Buffet breakfast in the Patio has a large variety to suit every preference, including an omelette station (you may want to ask the cook to keep it on the burner for longer, because it tends toward runny - we found that was typical in Japan). Front desk staff person was helpful and suggested I join the rewards program for earlier check-in privileges. Hotel location is excellent - most Tokyo sights are within a 30 minute Uber or Taxi ride, or train from Shinagawa Station, which is a ten-minute walk from the hotel. The Japanese garden separates this hotel from the Grand Princess Hotel Shin Takanawa - be sure to be precise with destination for Taxis and Uber, because it is about a ten minute walk through the garden between the front desks of the two hotels. Room amenities included razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste, body wash, shampoo and cream rinse, but no hand lotion. Coffee, tea and bottled water were replenished daily. 7-11 shop in the hotel is convenient, and carries a wide variety of toys, sundries, food and drinks, including alcohol. Airport shuttle picks up three times per day from this hotel to Narita - book this on line. The shuttle service operates a second line to Haneda.

Our stay at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa was excellent from start to finish. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and felt like a quiet escape from the busy parts of Tokyo while still being incredibly convenient to Shinagawa Station and transportation. The Japanese gardens were stunning, especially at night, and made the hotel feel very special and relaxing. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally polite and helpful. We especially appreciated how easy it was to access both the city and the airport from this location. Overall, this was the perfect hotel for our Tokyo stay and we would absolutely return. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a more serene and upscale experience in Tokyo.

Rooms have been renovated and are quite nice. Hotel has undergone renovations as well and looks very classy. My only criticism is that the hotel restaurants are all very expensive. Area surrounding the hotel is under construction and appears it will be going on for some time. Very limited shopping at Shinagawa Station and the surrounding area.
