Superb value. Across the street from the train station, this modest boutique hotel is situated above McDonald's. We were pleasantly astonished by the spacious rooms and lovely furniture. We had a Japanese speaker in the group, so don't know how difficult it would have been for a nonspeaker, but we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We didn't order breakfast at the hotel, rather, we went to McDonald's for hotcakes and coffee. Shimoda is a very valuable and friendly town. The hotel is located close to a large supermarket where you can buy snacks and bento boxes. Restaurants are plentiful and all within walking distance of the hotel. I would most certainly stay here again.

This is a fairly simple business hotel. However, the rooms are a bit larger than average and quite comfortable. They serve breakfast with a choice of Japanese or western cuisine. I chose Japanese and was quite pleased. The hotel is very conveniently located across from the railway station and not far from the tourism information office. They are very helpful with directions, etc.

We were saved by this place, which was so much better than the price that was meant for our stay. The location is also very strategic because it is near to restaurants and the main buses. The cute fish pattern pajamas are also available.

This hotel kept us from the wrath of the prince hotel! Because we had a terrible experience up the road, they were able to check us in on a short notice one day. Over the McDonald's blog and across from Shimoda Station, Marseilles is conveniently located. A charming, unique hotel in a French style with the cutest bears and decorations in the hallways! Small location, but by Japanese standards, we had a nice size room! Bed was firm, everything functioned, and the best lavender soaps! Breakfast was outstanding and the price was really reasonable! They are the only place we could find Internet and Wi-Fi! Thank you, arigato to the staff! If you want to take the bus to Dogashima for a day, this is an excellent location to leave your luggage! highly recommended!.
