One of the hotels in the mountains where we stayed at during our 16 day Wendy Wu expedition. They have traditional robes for breakfast and dinner, toe socks, and slippers. The staff is excellent, and every window and corridor was spotless. Every window and window was perfect, with a breathtaking view. However, the spring water first appeared in Japans top 10 cleanliness. I have never had one, but I strongly advised all the women who went on our trip to indulge because we wont have another chance. While the rooms are in Japanese style, they also have western features like comfy futon beds, ample space, and shoes on. They also provide traditional robes, toe socks, and slippers for breakfast and supper. If you request western meals, the cuisine is excellent. The panoramas, while the staff, were perfect. But the most remarkable in Japans top 10 spring water onset was my absolute favorite, but I never had one, and we were convinced nearly all of the women on our journey to indulge as we would have no longer have any other choice. It was a relaxing feeling to soak in the baths without seeing otherss opinions, and the prescrubbing to ensure cleanliness was lovely. Shirakawago, a World Heritage site, is also near the hotel.

The room we were given was incredibly large with a really cozy futon. You have a choice of indoor and outdoor, which I prefer and we tried both. It was an unexpected surprise for this roman. The service, from check-in to check-out, is excellent. They even gave us yukatas, less formal cotton kimonostyle japanese clothing that we could wear while we were there. The Japanese hotels tend to have small rooms, but this one was quite large.

I would give the lodging three stars, the food four, and the staff five stars. The lodging is a little worn out and in need of some updating. For us westerners, the first stage is a little off the map, but once I had it for the first time, I was happy to go every day. The staff was so accommodating that we were given a time when we could go in bathing costume. The staff went above and beyond to please, there were a lot of dietary requirements in our group, including celiac disease, shellfish allergy, and absolutely no fish. The chef went above and beyond to satisfy. For those who could consume them, there was even croissants one morning. I would not hesitate to suggest the ryu resort hotel. It was quite soothing and an excellent way to experience the japanese mountains. The hotel has a minibus and will arrange excursions for you, although we also required a large bus. Masa deserves a special mention because he was so helpful when we were a large group of 32. No request is too difficult.

The resort was very helpful and responsive before our stay. They tried to answer every email and cater to our needs so we had high expectations for the resort. Then there are some surprises that the resort has no restaurant unless you made a pre-booked reservation with them. The next thing is you can't expect us to eat the same things for 3 nights as did our breakfast of 3 days. Unlike other onset resorts that I've stayed at, there is no inside store that sells snacks and the nearest convenience store is about 15 minutes away. It also lacks a laundry machine. It's great that the staff speaks good English and the rooms are very spacious.

This place is great to stay! Although the resort is a bit remote, it offers exceptional tranquility and peace of mind. The kitchen facilities are sufficient, the outdoor ones are tiny, but they are sufficient for relaxing purposes. From the front desk staff to the restaurant waiters, everyone on staff is quite kind and helpful. Breakfast has many options of high caliber. The room is big and neat. As a foreigner, we can eat tatami in a Japanese manner, but it also incorporates some western fusion, making it not too difficult for us to adapt.
