The beds were cozy and the location was excellent. However, the host, shaq, is the best part of the experience. Hes the greatest.

I stayed at the wonderful inn for two weeks. It was a tremendous experience. The rooms are cozy and spotless. There are two toilets on the sleeping level and two showers with warm water. You can engage in lively conversations with other people in the lower area, in addition to delicious food and affordable beverages. In my opinion, the long one is ideal for taking in all of the sights. Everything is within walking distance, whether its the kanazawa castle or the jakarang district.

This place is highly recommended. Shaq was an amazing host who always smiled at his face and was willing to help. The place itself is nice, cool, and comfortable doorms, well located, clean.

I stayed for a week. The owner is renowned for his exceptional cuisine, ambiance, and cleanliness of the beds, even for an 61inch man. All the best attractions are within walking distance of this hostel. It is recommended to perform karaoke with shaq. That man has pipes.

I was the only guest at shaqs after the recent earthquake in ishikawa. Kanazawa is safely far from the earthquake epicentre, the city itself doesnt show any damage, and it was a pleasure to see the sights. Shaq was an ideal host, going above and beyond. He served me draft beer on tap and sabre fish that he had caught himself. Even gave me easier to take my bus in the morning when ive had gotten ten times too many beers the previous night!.

I will be back soon! Shaq bighouse is the best house! If you want to experience the true kanazawa, true japan, this hostel is a mustvisit. I made lifelong friends here and cant recommend it enough! Thank you, shaq, and your lovely wife, for making me feel like i was staying here.

I would definitely return. Shaq is a friendly man who gave me hints and hugs. The beds are quite comfy, and the dorms are brand new. As soon as i hit it, ill fall asleep. It is conveniently situated between attractions and right next to taverns playground where you can spend time reading e books while sipping on booze. Thank you for hosting him.

A number of tourist attractions and the downtown drinking district of kanazawa are both within walking distance of the guesthouse. The service was excellent, the owner has a really laidback attitude and is easy to get along with because he spent time in california. For the price range, these rooms exceed expectations in terms of cleanliness, wellorganization, standard regulations, lockers present, separate showers, and bathrooms. A bar or restaurant downstairs serves some delicious food at surprisingly affordable prices. There were fries, chicken, edamame, fish, as well as ten or more beers, all of which tasted great. I will return if im able to do so in the future.
