This place is the very definition of a 'hidden gem'. Burried deep within the hustle and bustle of the old town, arriving at Tulia Old Town is like arriving at an oasis after a long trek through the desert. The lucious balcony full of hanging plants, overlooking the palm trees and mangroves and across the creek to Nyali is such a pleasure to discover after wandering through the concrete jungle. I can't wait to come back again!

This location is conveniently situated in the heart of old Mombasa, right next to Forodhani Restaurant, and just a short stroll from Fort Jesus. There is a lot to enjoy about this location, and the view from the back patio is stunning. The mattress, pillows, and blankets were all awfully lumpy, and the shower was barely functional. The cost of a family room, for three adults and three children, was fine, however, I would find it to be a little too high to spend for a single person or couple because there were no exterior signage at the time of our visit, making the place somewhat challenging to locate, but the manager graciously visited to find us at Forodhani Restaurant.

We discovered the hotel in Augusta old town thanks to positive feedback on application and its convenient location. But everything went wrong from the start. We wished for a private bathroom, but the room descriptions on application were so vague we had to write an email to the hotel before booking. But sadly, we did not get any response so we called them two days later. The gentleman who answered the phone said he would reply to emails. He wrote back, but the answer was so obscure that we still weren't sure if the room had a private bathroom. We called Julia again the day before we left for Mombasa, and she assured us that the room had a private bathroom and she could book it for us. We traveled by rickshaw to the location. It was also difficult because the driver couldn't locate the hotel, and the hotel itself turned out to be in a dark alley without a sign. After some time, a guy appeared who let us into the hotel showed us a room with a private bathroom and said that it would cost 44,00 ghs. We said we were planning to remain there for two nights. The hotel has a beautiful view of the bay, but the standard it offers is not worth it at all. After a while, I called the hotel again. The same woman answered. In the course of the discussion, it turned out that we

This location is in a great location in the middle of the old town of Mombasa, right next to Forodhani restaurant and a short walk from Fort Jesus. The view from the back terrace is beautiful and there is much to like about this place. However, the shower was barely functional, the mattresses and pillows were very lumpy and the linens were well worn. For us 3 adults and 3 kids, this worked out fine. However, I would find it a bit too much to pay for a single person or couple at 65 US$65. At the time of our visit, the place had no external signs, so it was a little difficult to find, but the manager graciously came to find us at forodhani restaurant.

This place does not serve as an investment in any way. The hotel has a lovely outlook of the bay. That is where we found the old town of Julia thanks to good reviews on application and its location. But everything went wrong from the start. We wanted a private bathroom, but the room descriptions on application were so vague that we had to send an email to the hotel prior to booking. Sadly, we didn't get a response, so we contacted them 2 days later. The guy who answered the phone said he would respond to e-mails. He responded in a response, but the answer was so vague that we were still unsure of the bathroom. The day before we left for Mombasa, we called Julia once more and talked to a woman who assured us that the room had a private bathroom and that she could book it for us. When we got to Mombasa, we rode rickshaw to the location. It was also not simple because the driver had difficulty finding the hotel and the hotel itself turned out to be in a dark alley without any signboard. After waiting under closed doors, we called the hotel once more. The same woman answered. The room and restroom were so filthy, there were some slime in the shower, there was a small piece of dirt all the equipment was so filthy that you couldn'
