The staff at the hotel Animus were the best I have ever encountered. They were so attentive and kind that I could hardly believe it. Nothing was too much for them to do for you. My room was fairly large, without a phone or Kleenex. This was a disappointed however the staff more than than made up for what the hotel lacked. The place was very clean and right in the middle of Centro which was where I wanted to be and it was so very convenient. All in all I learned to love the hotel; and and would happily return to it again. Shakti Khan \

Location is excellent, close to downtown (restaurants, bars, churches) and not close to noisy places so you can rest and relax at night. Great pillows and blankets... but the mattress was not so good. Nice people at the front desk.

From the start the staff was great. She was friendly and let me check in early. She wasn’t strict by letting me check in at 3 pm. She had available room ready and didn’t give me a hard time. The hotel is a little old fashion but the room was clean. The shower worked well and I had hot water. I took long hot showers and didn’t have a problem. The WiFi worked well but it limited because I was streaming movies. The area felt really safe. The street were well paved so I wasn’t struggling with rocks under my feet. There plenty of shopping and eating areas near by. I felt I got more then my money worth. I was at other hotel on a hill and I hurt my feet and it was more expensive. So save your money and get this hotel.

Muy agusto! Cómodo y céntrico 😊 lo único q no me gustó, es q no tienen estacionamiento, pero fuera de eso, es ideal para ir a conocer San Miguel de Allende...muy recomendable!

This is a budget hotel - make no mistake - but it is a good option to explore San Miguel de Allende. A short walk into the centre of town on a quiet street. Efficient, friendly check in. Super basic rooms in a very old style but a perfectly ok place to shower and rest your head for a night or two.
