I have a bad experience here. The location is ideal and also the food and service are terrible, so I didn't want to complain to the owners of the hotel. And then, the room was small on the ground floor, and the stairs were not working. Besides that, the location was good, especially their restaurant. After that, the food and service were also bad, and the price was quite high.

The hotel is right in the center and on the central plaza. While it can get noisy at night, particularly on weekends, closing the doors is helpful. Plus, the music is pleasant to listen to. The hotel is historic and the staff are improving it gradually. The rooms and beds are immaculate. Breakfast is delicious. It was enjoyable to step outside, have a beer on the plaza, and people watch.

We were unable to enter the Diligencias, which is among the finest in Mexico for it's parking and other amenities. The Imperial is also only a 50-meter distance away and has a close view of the surrounding area and offers great service, not just in terms of location, but also in terms of service. Victor the concierge is ready to help if you have a vehicle. A large framed image of the building from around 200 years ago, and surely the classical ornate elevator in the lobby was one of Mexico's first installed. The traveler cannot be bothered by the diligencias and the imperial.

This hotel is perfect for history buffs. This Hotel Imperial is located in the Veracruz area and has a fantastic history and architectural gem. I sat on the balcony where emperor Maximilian and Lady Charlotte looked up at the square. The proprietor management needs some serious attention because of this. The rooms are surprisingly inexpensive because of this. The setting is unbeatable. The pool is murky and there is no gym. Take this into consideration when considering it. Although it appears to be a 2-star hotel, the sheets are tidy.
