At first, we were very impressed. We arrived at the San Pedro hotel in the lovely pueblo town of Pueblo by a pair of us traveling in a group of 6. We were given a lovely welcome drink and shown to the rooms which looked really good on first glance. Large, appealing design, albeit worn out, with a small balcony overlooking the street. We believed the courtyard with its swimming pool, chairs, tables, and other facilities was beautiful. The deficiencies quickly appeared. Room 320. Removed safe was an enormous crack through the glass shelf. There was one little bottle of water and two teacups that had clearly been cleaned but probably had been washed before using. There was no refrigerator but an ice bucket and the ice machine was inoperable. We asked for ice at reception, but there was no ice there either. The problem was resolved. We sat in the courtyard with our friends, had a quiet drink and walked up the street to get some. The restaurant personnel were exceptionally rude. Apparently, there wasnt any ice in the hotel! No one seemed to care. I expressed my anxiety! After being asked twice by one lady in our group, whose room was out of the courtyard during the partying, to calm down, the noise continued for a long time.
