Nice camp that is well equipped for light campers. Amazing view of the river we even had two hippos on our last not stopping in our tent until morning.

I love the scenery and the peaceful atmosphere, the friendliness of the employees is very good. This is the best place to go if you need to go to the countryside and be with your family. It is beautiful. I will come back here again.

We were a group of 8 people in tents 2, 3 and 4. Everything was wonderful, the only thing I would have liked was some sun protection for my vehicle during the day. You could consider a leaning next to the tent.

We stayed in the camping for go amenities, they have all you need for self-catering. It was lovely to go to the lodge for supper because we were only given a single night. Sitting on the terrace, looking out at the water and seeing birds, and with delicious cuisine and attentive service. There is no place better to get something. Before dinner, we went on a game drive and were absolutely in awe. The tour guide gave us so much information, and we learned a lot on this trip, such as seeing elephants bathing on horseshoes. It is recommended to go on a game drive here because the parks roads are poorly marked and one can easily get lost. An 8-minute boat ride with crocodiles and hippos is included on the riverside. This adds to the game drive's uniqueness.

My family stayed in a fully equipped tent just outside the lodge. We ate at the lodge since we were there for a short time, rather than using the extensive amenities of our tent grills, fridge, sink, food storage containers, etc. The tent was significantly larger than anticipated and easily accommodated 3 adults and a teen. The best part was listening to wildlife all night! The lodge's staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. The cuisine was fantastic. We had our own guide with us and did not go on safari with the lodge. However, we used the lodge's staff and boat to explore the area by water. Cassius was amazing, he found a colony of bee eaters huddled together as well as the coveted hippo sightings. My only regret is that I didn't reserve any more days at this treasure.

About Namushasha River Lodge

The lodge lies on the Kwando River, just 24 km from the centre of Kongola. The resort overlooks a hippo pool and is surrounded by parkland. Mudumo National Park is less than an hour´s drive away. This charming lodge features safari themed rooms inside various bungalows surrounding the complex. Each room is equipped with a mosquito net and features unique bathrooms with wooden sinks. On-site there is a buffet restaurant and a swimming pool. Parking is available.
