This is a wonderful position in the actual center of Amsterdam. You are so close to all the best things you can do, and Matt always makes you feel at home. Breakfast is a good time because he prepares a special breakfast using fresh ingredients. He uses the beautiful way that he uses to make this place special.

We will return to The wastage and meet Matt again! Jerrychico, Calif. We spent four wonderful days with Matt and couldn't have had better time. The wastage is in the ideal location for everything you want to see and do in Amsterdam and was reasonably priced compared to other properties nearby. This isn't for you if you're searching for a big, roomy, American-style hotel room. If you enjoy something unusual, adorable, or unusual--this is for you. Mates breakfast dishes were delicious and expertly prepared, and the rooms are clean and well-appointed, warm, and comfortable. Those factors alone are enough to produce an excellent review, but matt was everything for us. His shared knowledge of the city, nearby eateries, best stores, and other areas was invaluable. This beautiful Dutch-style home is situated on a quiet street and has a large front window that opens out to the chilled kitchendining area. Charming architectural features in an original Amsterdam home. The ability to navigate a winding staircase is essential. There are two tastefully decorated bedrooms and stunning-style bathrooms. We stayed in the newly refurbished first-floor bedroom with the most gorgeously soft carpet and a stunning bath to unwind in with a beautiful glass of wine provided in a smeg mini refrigerator in the room. Nothing was too much trouble for our host, and a delicious breakfast was prepared for us in the morning. Highly recommended.

All the staff, especially Matthew, were very accommodating, he takes the very serious effort to procure local produce, and only buys ingredients within a 500 m radius. Matthew is also a city expert and is always quick to respond to your requests.

We can't wait to return to the wasted inn for a longer stay! We took the train from London, making the trip comfortable and pleasant. In an idyllic street surrounded by canals of Amsterdam, the wastage inn is conveniently located 15 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by taxi ride from central station. Matt is an incredibly welcoming host, and he and his daughter treat you like family as soon as you arrive. The decor is beautiful, and there is such attention to detail that you feel pampered. I adore the small surprises that happen around the house, particularly interesting art and artwork. We could have slept for a week in the bed, which was so comfy! Fine linen and a little smeg refrigerator with complimentary drinks will make your stay even more pleasant. An ugly packet of stroopwaffles to enjoy with complimentary tea and coffee in the room is also accessible. Matt delivers a wonderful, freshly prepared breakfast with an impressive selection. He also offers yoghurt, fruit, cereal, hagelslag, toast and jam, orange juice, tea, and coffee as well. We had a fantastic weekend and anticipate a longer stay at the hostel!.
