Fantastic position. Awesome views. Host (Greg) extremely helpful and nothing too much trouble. Left us some nice little treats each afternoon, which were well received.

Kaiteri Retreat was in the most amazing position on the hill side overlooking the beach. So close to the beach and activities. Fantastic view from the beautiful lounge and deck area. You could spend hours watching the activity on the beach.

I highly recommend this place. This place is so beautiful, complete with excellent rooms and a kind host. We had a wonderful three days in Hora. Especially, the breakfast is good. We had a wonderful view of Hora and Pico Mountain from room 7.

All in all, you will feel a bit like a second home away from home, and you will leave every morning with a smile for the rest of your facials adventures. I've been coming to failure for seven years and tried a little bit of everything horta has to offer in terms of lodging. Manta Ray Lodge is by far the best I've stayed in. The lodge is in a recently remodeled building in horta that overlooks Pico. Both rooms and at least these I tried offer breathtaking views of the Portuguese top mountain. Sunrises are magical, and if you get a room with a view, you can see them from the best location. The rooms are bright and spacious, and everything is spotless. Breakfast is served in the dining room together with other guests, and has a little of everything. It was a great start to the day for us.

Were a family of four staying for one week. All the areas at Manta Ray Lodge are very nicely decorated. The view towards the marina and Pico Island is breathtaking. Book a room or, if you can, arrange one. The rooms were lovely, roomy, and comfy to the point where I just wanted to stay. Everything here was planned to give us our own independence and privacy. The homemade breakfast and service, including the delicious tortilla I have been wanting for a long time, are the icing on the cake. Looking forward to staying here again next summer!.

Overall, we had a great time at Manta Ray Lodge. We had reserved room number 7. I typically don't enjoy rooms with views, but I must admit that it was nice to get up in the morning and see if we could see the pico or not, or if a cruise or military ship had entered the harbor. The apartment was quite roomy and handy. We liked having a separate room where we could store our things before the shower. The bathroom was excellent too. A very kind Portuguese lady provided us breakfast. She did not speak much, but she was kind and accommodating. Breakfast was very stubby, a real breakfast for both men and hungry women, with excessive food. Even though I sometimes missed some vegetables like cucumber, tomatoes, etc. Parking is available on the nearby streets, and there is a very nice Casa Teahouse Bar down the street where you may have a nice cup of tea, pancakes, and vegetarian dishes. The drawbacks? The room was not soundproof, so you can hear the traffic from the street, bring ear plugs. At this time of year, it was extremely cold in the room. I brought a warm pyjama, but we were also given a blanket, and there was an electrical heater, so it wasnt really a problem. Ask about stairs if stairs are a problem for you. And like in all
