The hotel is in the Napier County Council building which was been refurbished to be a hotel. The building is amazing. I stayed in the Pueko room the room was very comfortable and perfect for my needs. Check in and check out were simple Very close to local restaurants and shopping. Would highly recommend The County Hotel. If I return to Napier I would stay here again

Everything worked well except TV. Pixilating so couldn't view.., but no matter we didn't visit Napier to watch TV. Also forgot to mention to Angela.

Absolutely delightful old style hotel. Our hostess was so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room was fantastic - very lush decor with all the glamour of the Art Deco period. Especially loved the gorgeous old library well stocked with books. The provision of some port to drink while relaxing in the large comfortable leather chairs with a book was a real treat. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel, particularly for those who welcome some good old fashioned hospitality. A great 4 nights and would definitely return. Many thanks.

A superb location, and a beautiful historic building. Add to that a very comfortable room and great hospitality, and they have a winning formula. This is a boutique hotel, that doesn’t have every service (eg: breakfasts) but they are very transparent on that, and helpful about finding those amenities. Angela was a wonderful host! And you feel like you’re living in a 1930s Napier art deco world!
