This hostel is one of the best value accommodations I've ever stayed in. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I did not test their ability to speak English as I speak fluent Spanish, but given their attitude I sure any problems will be resolved. There is a bar on the ground floor with a friendly atmosphere if you want to experience genuine Spain. Noise from this region was not a problem in terms of sleep. Marmolejo itself is also very authentic and down to earth. There is nothing special to visit, but the surrounding area has plenty of attractions for walkers, and angular for lynx hunting is easily accessible from here. The hostel is easy to find from the highway and a great option if you need to stop off while travelling and are looking for a good night's sleep in a friendly atmosphere.

This is one of my favourite hotels. It is just a short distance from the highway, making it very easy to reach. The hotel has a very good standard and is located in a very nice village with lots of restaurants close by. The price is reasonable and the service is great.

Hostel Plaza is a welcoming family-run townhome inn. All amenities at this rating are available in the clean and comfortable rooms. Even if there wasn't a minibar available, it would have been great for keeping my own bottle of water inside because it was so hot. Even though I didn't speak Spanish, everyone was friendly and willing to help. The plaza was unquestionably an exception because I frequently travel and rarely feel at ease in small town hotels. While Marmolejo is a charming little town, there isn't much to do for tourists here, it's only off the motorway, and if you want to spend the night somewhere accessible on the road and before you arrive in Cordoba, Nevados, or the Costas, the plaza is a far superior alternative than one of the faceless motels on the highway. Although there isn't a parking space in the city, there is plenty of room in the streets around.
