The hostel is the best ive ever stayed in! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their activities create a very social and fun atmosphere. The night out we had was especially well organized and very fun! The facilities are great and they have all the necessary tools and you can find anything you need. I cant even begin to express how wonderful this hostel and its staff are. You are made to feel like family from the moment i arrived until i left. The rooms are lovely, the beds are comfortable, and there is even a small privacy curtain on your bed and a reading lamp inside. The entire hostel is very clean, and the bathrooms and kitchen are great. The staff organize activities every day, such as beach trips and walking tours, and at night there is free dinner and free sangria some nights, and the group all gather to go to a bar and then onto a club, which changes different places every day throughout the week. The staff always try to include you, and its so good because you know you can always spend time with people if you want it, but the option is also there to spend alone time. During my stay, i met some amazing people. Ive stayed in hostels before, but this was the first time ive traveled alone, and i was worried about feeling a bit alone, but even when i was alone, i didnt feel lonely because i knew there were always people to talk to. I really dont think any hostels i stay in the future will ever match up to hostel one paralelo! It is the best! I was very happy to have chosen to stay here during my first trip to spain. Barcelona was amazing, and this place made it very special! My time at hostel one paralelo exceeded my expectations. As a firsttime solo traveler, i was unsure of what to expect when i first checked in last week. Having said that, during my stay, i was greeted by the most fascinating people from all over the world. The volunteers were fantastic. They were extremely resourceful and put together entertaining daily activities. The other travelers i met were very kind and outgoing. You will meet people from all over seated at the table and you will see that the rooms and bathrooms were quite clean for this hostel. The free dinner was a great way to return to after a long day out and about! I honestly met some of the coolest people during my week here, and i intend to stay in touch with the wonderful friends i made!.4.8/519 Aug 2024

I have stayed in more than 20 hostels and must say this is one of the best hostels ive ever stayed in. As soon as you walk in they treat you like family. They have a great outdoor patio and activities throughout the day and night. Its a smaller hostel so you feel like a real community. The bathrooms are super clean and the beds have curtains and ac that works great. Not only that but the staff are amazing, especially clari, augustine, Isabell, Jackie, Kid, Luisa, and James, the chef.4.8/523 Jul 2023

The hostel is the best ive ever stayed at! My sister and i had the most amazing time here. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and have all the necessary amenities. The beds are comfortable and the common area is very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, especially elvis and caroline! They made us delicious vegetarian dinners every night and took us out partying at local bars and clubs as well as daily trips around the city. We felt very safe going out with the hostel group, we had so much fun and made many friends. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting spain. Thank you, onefam!.4.8/519 May 2023

This place is perfect, and if i could give it six stars, i would. The hostel itself is extremely clean, very well run, and very enjoyable! It gives you all the chance to meet new people with their daily and nightly activities, and i can honestly say that i came away with some great friends that i will visit on future trips. The only downside of my experience was having to leave all of the friends i made with the staff volunteers. Every single one of them added to the quality of my 10 days in barcelona. And just because there is no character limit on this review, i want to thank the staff volunteers who were the heart of hostel one paralelo. I feel that my expectations for the next hostels will be very high for me, this is my first time traveling alone and staying in a hostel. If you are an introvert, have poor english skills or are not interested in nightlife like me, there are many activities to do and new wonderful people to meet without any effort, from the same hostel or another hostel. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to barcelona. I travelled alone for five nights in barcelona and this hostel was perfect for my trip. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, the curtains for more privacy, and the light next to your bed. I met so many cool, openminded people from all over the world. I would strongly recommend this hostel for solo or group travelers. The staff has created an inclusive and exciting atmosphere in the hostel that i felt as soon as i entered (thank you to made for being so fun and giggly, but also a professional and wellinformed greeting at the beginning). The hostel spirit then takes over you and passes it on to others who arrive while you are there. Creating a beautiful continuous loop of good energy. The events at the hostel make it very easy to connect with people (well run predining activities by krithel and bella). Before you know it, youre ready to explore the city with your pack. I cant lie, i also fell in love with one of the staff, lidija. We got married on the last day of our stay, so although my body has moved from the city, my heart will always be in the city with my baby gurl. If you read this lidija, please dont read the next sentence. I also want to thank my second wife staff, nina, who folds washing like a professional. Ok, lidija, you can keep reading now. Overall a lovely warm staff, great social activities, great kitchen and social area, very clean and well maintained bedrooms and bathrooms, gab the queen also ensured a smooth checkout process, thank you gurl. I recently spent a week here - this is my second stay at this hostel since 2020. The staff and guests have an amazing culture, they are incredibly warm, friendly, and inviting. They do a fantastic job of creating a sense of belonging for everyone, and you can see this from the staffs strong sense of family. The hostel attracts many wonderful guests, whom you can easily connect with. Free dinners every night make traveling on a budget easier.
