We had a wonderful three-day stay at Bandhusena House. Duly and his family are excellent and helpful hosts. The cozy rooms and apartment are surrounded by palm trees and only a 5-minute walk from the beach. We intended to remain for two nights but the family invited us to their New Year's Celebration for all things including milk cooking, firework and breakfast. It was a very exciting experience to witness their celebration and we are thankful for that opportunity. We would always return to that location and definitely try duck coffee.

We remained in an apartment for the second time, and we welcomed the rest of the family. We required a sense of serenity and peace. We appreciate the best experience ever! We cooked our own meals every day, had tea whenever we wanted, and had toast in the morning. We enjoyed every meal in a very private garden behind the house. Watching the monkeys move to another lot in the morning, seeing peacocks walking around the yard several times, and squeals playing in the trees. The beach is about 5 minutes away and the store is very close to the house. Bandhusena House is a must-see if you want to have that experience.

In the spacious garden, this incredible location offers a variety of accommodation. We had recently purchased new mattresses in our rooms and bathrooms, and they also had a fridge that was extremely useful. There are plenty of chairs and tables for relaxing. Both our rooms have little kitchens. On request, we got teacoffee and hot water in all rooms. The location is really calm and only a 10-minute walk from the beach, which is a welcome change from the sand! We reserved a whale-watching excursion with the family's proprietors, and they were extremely cordial and accommodating. They highly advise staying at this location.

We absolutely recommend this place! We spent a week here, and it was the best accommodation in Sri Lanka with a difference. The owners are a warm and welcoming family, always smiling and going out of their way to make your days as pleasant as they can. They offer comfortable rooms and apartments, and they let you choose whatever you want. Everything was really clean and with lots of details. We requested a refrigerator, and they were able to relocate one to our room. Also, the rooms provide a kettle for making your coffee. In addition, on the new year, they invited us to breakfast, getting us in local costumes and offering as much assistance. The cuisine was fantastic.

I stayed for 3 months and I really liked my stay here and highly recommend it. The garden was beautiful and there were papayas and mangoes growing abundantly. I found myself in a very quiet and peaceful environment. There was little noise around and many local shops and restaurants nearby. The beach was also very near.
