We had a one-week journey with windy and stayed at the mango for two nights. What a lovely and welcoming place to stay. There, you feel at ease. From the way Windy and his team treated you throughout the entire journey, to the attention to details. Because you are on the top of a mountain, the mango's front porch is the ideal location to unwind and contemplate nature. It was my favorite spot there, and I loved it. The room was comfy and spotless, and the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was uncomplicated. I simply loved it. We had a wonderful kitto for supper, which was among the best dinners I'd ever had. Dinner was served in the restaurant, on a natural balcony. So in nature, if you're lucky, you can see wild pigs. I was a lucky girl with a place where you feel happy and taken care of just like home. Well, yes, I'll be back. Thank you very much, very kind.

Our overall experience at The Mango was quite positive. The facilities look very nice, our room was clean, staff is friendly and helpful and we had a great dinner on our last night. The only drawback was that it was noisy. When people sit in the restaurant area having a little party, it is difficult to nót be bothered by that when you have a room towards the back of the hotel. So bring your earplugs! Still a great place for backpackers.

Excellent location just outside of town in the midst of green hills. The city of beautiful handy can be reached in less than ten minutes. We felt very at home in this location. The rooms are clean and comfortable. And the breakfast is wonderful. Traditional sri lankan breakfast while you talk to birds and wild pigs. Or, vinci, the hotel owner, is the nicest and nicest man you will meet in Sri Lanka. He can make anything your travel desires are realized. Tours, tutu rides, etc. Name it and it will be arranged! You will definitely want to stay here again.

I would unquestionably recommend staying at the mango and taking a look at the warm hospitality. The mango is situated on a lovely little spot on a hill above handy, just a 5 minute drive from the center. It has spacious rooms with a nice cozy bed. The outside spaces are also nice to relax in. Wonderful, delicious breakfast! Vinci was a fantastic host. He assisted me with a variety of matters, including arranging airport pickup, withdrawing money, and taking me around the city. Very pleasant and a wonderful greeting from Sri Lanka. He also arranged a tour for me with his friend range. Range was also great!

The mango in handy is a classic hotel with a nice and helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Lovely location, beautiful building with a cozy feel. Breakfast is so good and I adore the verandah! I definitely would come back here!

Such a lovely location with spacious rooms and comfy mattresses! The windy owner is incredibly lovely, recommending a wonderful traditional handy dance in the cultural center, as well as a place to have dinner a little chilled and having a great atmosphere and delicious food, I couldn't recommend this place enough, it offers a great price, friendly people, a fantastic room, and overall a very good feel for the place.

After reading other reviews and looking at pictures, we were very disappointed by our stay here. Upon arrival at the property, we had to wait to be greeted. When We walked into the property, all of the curtains were shut, and it was very dark and had a strange vibe. When we were shown to our room, it was in a bleak state. The bathroom needed repair and overall the room was not clean. I had to plug my charger in under the bed and you could tell that it had not been cleaned properly in a long time. We were only given one towel and there was no toilet roll. the view out of the window is onto a balcony filled with lots of junk. I did not find the hosts helpful and struggled to get into town due to no wifi and bad service. I asked if they could arrange a tuk tuk to take us but this wasn’t offered and luckily I got enough 4G for an uber. The radio was played all day and all night so I woke in the night because of this. we didn’t even sleep under the covers because we didn’t feel that it would be clean enough . in the morning, We went to leave around 8:30 however, there was no one to be found so we unlocked the external gates ourselves and left. This is such a shame because from other reviews, it seems that people have had a great stay here with welcoming hosts and I can see that the property has potential however we definitely would not recommend it in its current state.
