The hotel is in a great location. It has great views and no busy streets, compared to the interconnected, touristy downtown area. Also, the price for this hotel is also reasonable, but comes with poor services. The room appears to be outdated, and there is no air conditioning. During my visit, the weather was not nice, and the room had only a tiny fan. You will have to open the windows. Around 1000 pm, I got to the hotel. What is typical of Switzerland is that there was no one at the front desk. The problem was that nobody could help when I needed them. The hotel left a helpline number, but the person on the phone barely speaks English. My room had a burnout fuse shortly after I arrived, so I requested him to come over to repair it. He told me to wait until the next morning. I called again, and he didnt even pick up the call. The room was hot and dark. To solve the darkness, I had to use my iPhone flash light. I had a horrible first night in Switzerland, and had a bad first impression. The next morning, I went to the reception desk, and the breakfast lady told me that no one would be there until noon. My service was really disappointing, though.

I'm disappointed with this hotel. The motel seems a bit worn out from the outside. But the rooms are well maintained. You must book a balcony room not a terrace room. The view from the room is amazing. Clean and friendly staff.

This place is highly recommended if you want to explore the mountains and lakes. The location is in a small town with a couple of grocery stores nearby for your everyday needs, restaurants and hotels. We spend our nights there on trips and hiking. But everything is in Switzerland! The weather was on our side! Compared to other countries I visited in Switzerland, I put it in the mid-range but it's fine. It's a little village with a few grocery stores and restaurants as well as hotels and restaurants. For British, it is a bit expensive! But everything is in Switzerland! My son and I spent some nights there exploring the area and hiking, but I doubt we would have seen a third of what we experienced in three days if we hadn't hired a car. Great photos.. The alpine inn didn't have staff or phone so if there was any issue we had to email them and wait for them to respond. We stayed there for three nights and the staff did not refill the amenities shampoo, bath gel, coffee, tea etc on the second and third days. We had to email reception but still the staff did not do it until our departure date and 3 emails. Room was quite cold in winter because they used an old radiator. The views and the hamlet were amazing we were on the second floor and had mountain views of jungfrau from our window. The balcony has a big seating area which I guess would be a great place to sit in the summer. The room itself was quite big and clean with all amenities. No elevator on the second floor and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. We can leave our luggage at the jungfrau and go for a little sightseeing before returning to get our luggage. Wilderswil is a beautiful village that is not interlaced, not busy with tourists, not as expensive, and easily travel to Luzerbrunnen, grindelwald, or other cities. We had to ask the staff during check-in to ask for the travel card for free transportation in the area which they should have automatically given us when we paid the city tax.
