My wife and I needed a place to stay before starting our cruise on the shine river. And I wanted to make sure we had air conditioning. So, we found ourselves at the Royal Hotel. We were very happy to have done it. The receptionist could not have been more helpful, checking our room, suggesting restaurants, and even calling the taxi company to report that he thought the driver overcharged her. After a lengthy series of flights over, it was amazing. The room was perfect. Clean, modern with a hint of tradition. We loved it.

I really like my stay here. Despite its proximity to a train stop, it was closest to the royal hotel urban living which we chose because it was close to a train station. When we arrived, we found that Badischerbahnhof station is the single of two central train stations in the city. Sub to Be, which connects to other Swiss cities, is the smaller of the two stations. Therefore, to travel 7 stops on the tram line, we had to take a tram upon arrival. The royal hotel is directly across from the based be station and only has rooms on the first level of the structure. The rooms are contemporary and unadorned. In the apartment, water and coffee are provided. Continental and basic enough for getting your morning start. Overall, a very pleasant visit. The young people who work the front desk could not have been nicer.

I had a great stay at the royal hotel in October 2020. The check-in seemed a little unusual at first, but when I arrived at the place it was a very straightforward. The staff is very friendly and helpful and gives some very good local suggestions. My room was very nice and I was even given an upgrade. The staff generously accommodated my additional requests. The water and coffee refills were great! I recommend it and will stay here again.

The hotel was nice, the breakfast was as expected, maybe a bit overpriced, and when I asked for more croissants, the answer was no. The pictures look lovely and we were eager for it, but our room didn't quite look like the pictures, very much the opposite! So we were a little disappointed with that. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The place is clean and nice, quite quiet swell you can see the odd loud tram out front, but there is no car noise. I requested that two champagne glasses be left in the room, and when I arrived they were there! This was very beautiful and every day two clean glasses! Overall, a very nice stay. A little disappointing that we didn't have the right room and because everything was self check-in, no one was around when it was.

I liked this hotel because it is right next to the Central Station. The place is also good because its close to the city center. The room is large and has a nice breakfast. The only reason this hotel doesn't start at 5 stars is because they don't have the 247 desk.
