The beach area is amazing. Just to sit and take it all in. The water is great. The breakfast is very good, something for everyone i would think. Other than a gym within access, i thought the experience rated very high and would return.

Good hotel,very reasonably priced in a quiet beachside area of Samet island. Service and room cleanliness good but rooms are showing their age a little. On arrival we were upgraded to one of 4 VIP suites which was a pleasant surprise, i have stayed twice at the next door Cabana Resort which is owned by the same company so this was a gesture of appreciation which was unexpected but very nice. Staff are friendly and hard working and the grounds are a delight to walk round. Check in and out was completed with minimum fuss by a very efficient lady on reception who spoke good English.The beach was less than a minutes walk from our room and plenty of chairs and sun loungers were available.Various restaurants are all within a lovely 3 to 4 minute stroll along the beach. A small shop with an ATM is next door to the hotel. Breakfast is the standard Asian/Western varieties and is perfectly adequate.There are motorbikes for rent from a supplier just behind the hotel and prices are in my opinion reasonable . It is best to hire a motorbike as there is so much to see on this small but lovely island. To sum up we were very happy with our stay at the Malibu and i will certainly be happy to return there next time i visit Samet. Thank you to all the staff at this very pleasant hotel.

It's a beautiful island, you can feel nature far better than coral island in Patia. Very few people compared to coral island, beautiful beaches.. one of the best places I've visited in Thailand.

I made a last-minute reservation on what seemed to be a very busy weekend. There wasn't much option for lodging on the island. It turned out to be fine. The pool had been removed, and it appeared as if the hotel was under renovation. The lodging was simple but adequate, with working and chilly air conditioning! The front desk staff members were incredibly kind and accommodating, and they located a moped for us and made reservations for the ferry back. We had no trouble eating fried or scrambled eggs for breakfast even though it was Thai. We could not stomach curry or noodles for brunch! The hotel is located on a lovely beach. Speedboats are constantly dropping and picking up on the shore, so if you prefer a quieter shoreline, travel further along the coast and hire a taxi from the main pier. This did however mean that there are many bars and restaurants right on the sand at night.

This island is close to Bangkok and truly feels like a tropical island. It has a tropical island feel in it, in contrast to the large economies of Pocket and Oh Chang. You can easily pack this one in your purse and bring home. Due to this, the same is constantly occupied and is favored by weekenders from Bangkok. This, in turn, would translate into higher hotel rates year-round, despite hotels' lower quality than those of major islands like Sami, Pocket, or Chang. I've visited this island about a dozen times over the past 15 years, and I'm fairly familiar with the layout of the island. This tiny island is quite congested with a constrained supply of properties and accommodations unless they start to go vertical. I don't, in my opinion, have favorite hotels. A few months ago, we made a last-minute plan, and this was the only one that had rooms available. We spent 200 thb for a basic room with air conditioning. It is located on the shore, but most of the villas are in some way. Expect service to be minimal or nonexistent at worst. A jaded attitude is what you would not believe. They can afford to do so because the demand is high. Again, the advantage is that it's close to Bangkok and the beach, which has ultrafine white sand and turquoise waters. There

The only issue we had was transportation from Patrick to no same, which is through Malibu Resorts Travel Company, bus was overbooked and we had bags on our knees for a two-hour coach journey to the boat, aside from that the beach is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, ideal for a few nights away.

It's a quiet, relaxing place. Small rooms, but the nature around me is amazing. Hotel has a small pool but 50 meters to the lovely beach with many Thai restaurants and bars. A nice location for those who don't care about rooms or location.

Rent och fint i rummet och en sval ac som svalkar gott när du är på rummet. Den kalla drycken i kylen  blir kall efter en stund eftersom någon missade att koppla kylens el-uttag till ständigt ström. Schampo och duschtvål i duschen. En hygglig frukostbuffé till frukost. Inger överdådigt men helt klart värt det. (Vissa kantiner tar slut snabbt och man kan önska att de vart lite snabbare på att fylla på så man inte hela tiden måste be dem om just det.)  Nära till stranden och flertalet restauranger med bra priser, Köp din öl i strandbaren för en stor 150 bath (Chang) eller gå in i närbutiken(108) som ligger 10 meter ifrån och betala 100 bath. Ingen skillnad, lika god och lika kall! Stranden är fylld med solstolar men trots det funkar det bra och det är lugnt och skönt.  Platsen lämpar sig i mitt tycke framförallt till par eller familjer utan småbarn.
