Enjoyed my stay here, albeit for one night. Had a room on the 4th floor facing the castle. Nothing fancy but, perfectly adequate for one person. It was a little warm so, the lack of a/c was evident for someone who is used to having it. Very warm and accommodating staff. Breakfast served in a nice room with a couple tables outside on the patio. Buffet with the option of a few hot dishes made to order. Lovely library on the first floor right out of a Harry Potter novel. 10-12 minute walk to Princes St. I would not hesitate to stay here again

The whole experience at this hotel was wonderful. An 18th century home that has been wonderfully maintained. Very close to all the main attractions that you would be hoping to see in Edinburgh. Would highly recommend staying here. Would not hesitate to book this again if I ever come back. The staff were all friendly, shout out to Alex! Was great behind the bar. Loved ❤️

The hotel is incredibly beautiful and was exactly as advertised when I first viewed their website a couple months ago when I booked. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were very helpful and helped us out with finding our way around and restaurants in the area. Breakfast was really good, especially the Eggs Royale (Scottish smoked salmon, yummy!). The only suggestion I’d have is to have a 2nd person helping out in the morning to help out with the breakfast crowd.

Our triple room on the fourth floor was perfectly adequate, with great views of the Water of Leith. As this is an old, historic building, it took a bit to regulate the water temperature in the shower and some surfaces are a bit worn, but that’s to be expected. Liked the breakfast choices, and the staff is both friendly and professional. Since the clientele was of a more “mature” set, the whole place was quiet—easy to get a good night’s sleep. We also liked that it is located just a short walk from the West End tram stop. Would definitely stay here if we’re ever in Edinburgh again.

Absolutely wonderful! Kind and welcoming staff at check in. The room was comfortable and had a beautiful view. The decor was just magnificent! Breakfast was delicious and hearty! Great coffee and the views were excellent. We walked to a local Pub which was an easy walk. Highly recommend!

The hotel was just beautiful! We stayed in the family suite which was spacious for three adults, view of Dean Village was remarkable, and the lounge/library were all so beautiful. It was pricey but given that all hotels in Edinburgh are quite pricey, I would recommend B+B Edinburgh for its clean facilities and perfect location right in city center.

The location was quiet. Easy walk but I ubered generally to get to restaurants. Property was beautiful. Only complaint was the room was very warm and the window barely opened and I only had a tiny fan. So it was a bit uncomfortable in that regard.

It was just a short walk from the tram stop at West End. Our room had a view over Dean Village, which was fantastic and it was quiet during the night. The library was amazing, and in the morning we were some of the first up for breakfast and the man who helped us there was so sweet! The two women at the front desk was also just the best in helping us when we checked in and out. All in all a 10 out of 10

It is always convenient to stop in front of B+B to unload the luggage and then proceed to the NCP. Alternatively, there are on street parking spaces just outside, which cost just above £5 per hour (Monday – Saturday, from 8.30 am to6.30 pm, Sunday from 12.30pm - 6.30pm)
