Wish I was staying more nights at the Dakota. Will def check it out again when I am in Edinburgh. Everything about the hotel was top notch. Molton Brown toiletries, yummy cookies and tea/coffee, linen exceptional, front desk and all staff courteous and helpful. I didn't use the restaurant or bar but it looked posh. The best thing is, if you need to get to or from the airport, they have a pickup and drop off service. Make sure you walk down into Queensferry (10 minutes from the hotel). It's beautiful with lovely restaurants and shops as well as history and a view that is not to be missed. Also the lovely shaggy dog statue as you arrive in the hotel warmed my heart. Being a dog lover it was welcoming and whimsical.

1st stay at the dakota and to say it was absolutely amaizng.. friendly welcoming staff , amazing rooms , clean and kept to a very good standard.. taxi 25 mins to town for 30 pound each way i woukd say is brilliant also would defo recommend 👌.

Especially in the room, I love the quality of coffee. Usually you can get a horrible cup of coffee but here it was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful, rustic, modern factory appeal, and it was so nice that I already booked the hotel again for my last day on my way home

I have to say , WOW! Both me and my husband enjoyed our stay so much at the Dakota . We originally booked a king room for our last two days to relax before our flight . After our first night , though the room was stunning , but we decided we wanted to indulge. I went down to reception where Brooke helped us , and organized a suite for the remainder of our stay . They allowed us to relax in our previous room until the suite was ready , which was before normal check in time (3pm) . Bringing us into the room shortly after 12pm. If you go to this hotel , I highly recommend upgrading . Though the entry level rooms are beautiful and extremely comfortable , the suites are truly an experience. Every need is met before you even have to ask , and the staff were incredible . During our stay in Scotland we visited 4 hotels , and this was by far the best hospitality we received. The champagne service is such a lovely touch as well ! It was the most relaxed and calm we’ve been during our entire trip . Thank you so much to the entire Dakota staff (especially Brooke and David ) for making it truly amazing . We will definitely be back !

Hotel overall was excellent. We arrived about an hour before check in and they were able to accommodate us early. The hotel has a set of large drapes upon entrance into the lobby. It made the entrance dark and a bit awkward. Staff were fantastic. The lighting in the hotel common areas, including reception and hallways is dark. Only other negative was the large scent diffuser by the elevators. It was a bit overwhelming. We had a light meal in the bar area, food was good and again the staff were excellent. While the hotel location is a bit further away from the airport, we used a taxi both ways. Will run you
