Breakfast for us was a bit early, only till 8.30. Parking was good plenty of room. No evening meal at the moment but the pub next door was great. Also other in the close area. The hotel ideally situated for exploring. The receptionist was extremely pleasant also worked the bar. She made our stay very pleasant

Stayed here a few times in different rooms. This one was different again. Set up in a type of annex little cottage external at the side of the hotel. Didn’t know what to expect but pleasantly surprised. Lovey warm and spacious double room and on suite. Like a little one bed cottage. Road noise wasn’t too bad seeming the lane was close to the main road. Warm and secure all amenities there. Nice little hotel and always happy here. Breakfast had changed to between 0730-0830. Very short time frame. So didn’t partake in the breakfast included. Which is usually very very good.

It was a lovely stay, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent facilities and accommodation with a fantastic breakfast. With us touring, this is the best hotel we have stayed at to date.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Room (executive double) comfortable and clean. Some tired elements in the hotel but nothing that caused an issue for us. Good, secure parking available on site. Great location on a small town with loads of places to eat out.

We stayed for 1 night, it was a last minute booking and we had a suite with breakfast for a good price. Parking was plentiful and the room was clean and comfortable, good shower and comfortable bed. Our room was directly on the main road and there was some road noise from early morning, the duvet was far too heavy and we didn't sleep very well. The hotel was very quiet and the bar and bistro appeared to be closed, fortunately there were a few pubs and a good fish and chip shop nearby. We had a great meal in the Bunch of Grapes. Breakfast was ok, self service continental and hot water in a flask for tea. Cooked breakfast quality average.

We only just managed to check in as they were closing at 7.00pm and all doors would be locked to main hotel and no night staff on duty. I checked in at 6.35pm.On checking we were told the bar and restaurant were closed. We would have to go out and find somewhere to eat. None of this was ever told to us in booking. Wouldn't go back as could have had that type of service at a Travel lodge.

Our room was not in hotel, we had to go back out on the high street and walk down the road to a turning on the left . Out room was a old GP surgery. So every morning we had to go back onto the high street to get to hotel for breakfast. This was annoying as it rained every day. When one books a hotel room ,one expects a room within the hotel.

Got rooms facing the main road and there was noisy traffic all through the night. Outdated rooms and facilities.

All bars closed . Restaurant closed for dinner, told to go to the pub next door (grotty but good food.) Very noise adjacent room until midnight. No staff on site after last check-in. Such a shame because we had an excellent stay before Covid.

Upon arrival, I found the hotel room to have an unpleasant odour, and much of the furniture, including the sofa, appeared very dated and worn. I requested an additional blanket for the night, but was told there would be an extra charge of £25, which seemed unreasonable given the short two-day stay. Considering the circumstances, I felt it would have been more reasonable for the hotel to provide this as a basic necessity. Unfortunately, due to the strong smell and overall condition of the room, I decided to leave after just one night, despite having booked for two. Overall, the stay did not meet expectations, and I was left disappointed with both the quality of the accommodation and the service provided.
