My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights. The best hotel in this area. We had a junior suite with a nice layout but it was not too large and comfortable for us. The food was excellent in every way. It can be seen by the location of the car park.

We've stayed at Grace Lodge quite frequently. This time, we stayed in a garden suite. The facilities were excellent. And a hot tub. First, the spice. The food was great, most with an Indian twist. On the second night, we dined at the Michelin star hiroshi. Had 5 courses rather than 7 courses tasting menus. Every dish is wonderful. Yet, wine let things down. We ordered 2 glasses of marine with the main course. When we were being served the main course, we were told there was none left. We then ordered a bottle of merlot on the bin end list. After 10 minutes, we were also told this was gone. No trace of the sommelier, but the waiter informed us they were not allowed to update the wine list on ipads for out-of-stock wines. The sommelier only apologized after the meal when we complained. Since everything else was so great, it's a shame.

The best service ever, friendly and helpful staff, wonderful setting, pleasant room. Dinner was fantastic. The best starter and pudding I've had in a very long time, and our amazing waitress, Andy, made the whole experience extremely personal. We'll be back!

The spa is so private. Luckily my husband and I have a wonderful time. Would definitely stay there again and highly suggest it to anyone looking for a private spa break.

I would have liked to give this short break a five-star rating, but regrettably I can't in this instance. We had traveled to gillian four times since just before the first lockdown, and we have been back when the lockdown regulations permitted. Given the extent to which they operate, the two restaurants are and are both fantastic and extremely affordable. The cuisine is excellent. As an aside, the bar area is still excellent and reasonably priced. The staff is lovely, welcoming, and helpful. It falls short of the structure. The corridors and rooms are extremely, extremely worn out and in dire need of improvement. Even though the bedrooms are clean and practical, a little paint would make a big difference to the overall appearance. The bedroom furniture, too, really requires renovations. In our room, there was a white, poor-scored Ikea-style table that I was sat amongst the old dark wooden furniture in our room. Unnaturally awkward and incorrectly. The patio doors leading out to the small terrace were incorrectly closed. The planter on the side of the terrace had to be discarded. Given the high cost, lodging costs aren't cheap, and the types of issues I've described are certainly not what is anticipated. Although the rooftop and guttering of the hotel are inviting, I have sympathy for the significant financial strains such hotels are feeling over the past couple of years
