Lovely friendly greeting from owners. Even though the kitchen had just finished they made us the most delicious Sunday roast. Breakfast was excellent each morning, cooked fresh to order and piping hot. The rooms need some upgrading as does the main pub, the owners are trying their best to do this but understandably with Covid and being an independent hotel this is going to be a long process and we wish them luck and every success.

Where else could I experience a post parrot birthday party? A very beautiful place and well worth the trek. The staff is so warm and helpful. The parrot birthday party was sat. It was a very postparty vibe.

We'll return due to you. For the third time, we stayed here. We returned because of the people! Businesses were hit by the spread because there were no visitors, leaving no money to go to maintenance, repair, or upkeep at the back of the pandemic. The family team here will be the first to admit that, but they are doing it diligently, and the inn and rooms may use some updating. Whether you need to enjoy some drinks, eat, see some entertainment, spend the night, or all of the above, it's well worth a visit to enjoy beverages, eat, have fun, stay over, or all of the aforementioned. They are the kindest, most sincere, and they work their way to get their visitors happy. First rate welcome. The room, although somewhat old, was tidy and ideal for a restful overnight stay. They are compassionate and oblivious to any circumstance. They couldn't have been more sincere with us when we remained while undergoing a funeral. The superb brunch. There is an excellent selection and the most extensive you will discover anywhere. The simplest details are of good quality, and the prices are affordable. The room was outside the main building in a separate block. Most importantly, the room required complete renovation, some decoration was still to be finished and the fittings were very tired. But, it was clean. We were debating whether to eat in or not but saw some good reviews so decided to try it and we were glad we did. Our meals were beautifully cooked and presented and the breakfast the next morning continued in the same vein. The bed was comfortable and the location was very quiet. The staff was really friendly and helpful. So would we stay here again?

I hope to stay there again the next time I visit the area. This place is very welcoming, run by a small family. They have a nice and cozy room and nice clean bed and towels. The breakfast the next morning is full English for my husband and lite English for me with lots of tea and coffee. The decoration here is beautiful and makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.

I will return and tell everyone I know how great they are and share my experience with thousands. Excellence in service of the highest caliber! You stumble upon a hidden gem of a hotel while stepping away from home for work! Now, theres a statement we frequently hear as a vision or goal. The godson inn and coach house restaurant, godson, Surrey are not even striving to achieve that status or making any claims that they deliver this, but john and tracy deliver this to every guest who enters the door of this appealing motel, bar, and restaurant. They can not compete with major chains and have really struggled through the pandemic even closing and reopening and demonstrating real resilience to endure challenging times. All I can say is that they get the basics right! They make them perfect in every way. Welcome, environment, atmosphere, service, food quality, comfort All the basic is excellent basics, and their human and individual approach is great! Last night, I feel like I was a member of the family and treated like a local! The food quality is great, and the choice of what to eat was difficult and wow! What a breakfast! Hope John and Tracy will welcome some of you in the future!.

Initially - a little concerned - then learnt they had suffered flood damage which had rendered the bar and restaurant out of action. However there was a restaurant no more than 100 paces away which made us most welcome after mentioning where we came from and had an excellent evening meal. The issues were more than compensated by the friendliness of the staff and the the breakfast was the best I have had for years. Under the circumstances - well-done Godstone Hotel

The owners and their staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and clean. The food and presentation was excellent and the chef was flexible with any request to vary a particular dish.There are currently some upgrading works being carried out. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and tidy but the inn was mid restoration, and it showed, there was no bar or restaurant however breakfast was available and was amazing. We had no major problems with the accommodation but felt they could do more to hide the signs of the refurb.
