We had the most enjoyable stay at the Green Dragon Hotel!..the room was very clean-spacious-lovely and warm. The bed was so comfortable with a memory foam mattress.The hotel has so much character-especially discovering it's around 900 yrs old..its absolutely charming. I can't understand why anyone would complain about silly things like creaky floorboards etc...go stay in a boring premier inn if you want bog standard..knowing how much history is in the hotel..makes for a better experience.All the staff were excellent-helpful..nothing was too much...but we'd like to hilight one person in particular..the lovely lady Jo..who welcomed us on arrival at reception.She was so helpful,endearing and kind...she couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was a special one..and we can't thank her enough for that...anything we required-etc-everything that can ensure a lovely break..Thank you Jo..we hope we'll return one day soon...and will highly recommend

I had a fantastic stay at the GD. The staff were lovely, my room was big, quiet and clean and the shower was very powerful. Breakfast was top-notch, especially the homemade granola. Highly recommend this excellent hotel.

The staff were pleasant and very helpful as I struggled into the hotel and up to my room. There was never an expectation for anything other than a "thank you". The room and bed were comfortable. The food was well cooked and served by pleasant staff. The only downside was the lack of a restaurant for an evening meal (winter rules). There was plenty of outside restaurants to compensate.

Every member of staff I met/spoke to was smiling, friendly & engaging. The public areas, bars & lounges were smart, clean & comfortable. Parking was just across the road with a handy payment machine in the hotel reception.
