Our stay at this establishment was perfect although it was a short stay. Very pleasant and friendly staff. The hotel lounge was very spacious with comfortable seating arrangements. The outside garden for beverages was useful especially during the hot days. The breakfast was simply the best I have experienced for a while. So much variety on offer and plenty to choose from. From cold buffet to cooked breakfast. The choice for beverages was plentiful. I have nothing to be negative about except new building developments nearby but that cannot be attributed to the hotel as it is beyond their control. Great stay, excellent staff and splendid hospitality and breakfast. Will stay there again.

Breakfast was very good and I liked making my own waffle. Room was good. Little lift outside hotel for disabled and elderly was very difficult to figure out how to use. Had to carry heavy luggage up the steps. Ramp might be better. Location was good. Would recommend staying there.

Just stayed at the Hampton by Hilton in York for 3 nights. The hotel is in a great location, very near the centre of York, easy walking distance to the shops. The hotel exceed my expectations in all areas, the staff were very helpful, polite kind and courteous throughout the stay. The complimentary breakfast was a bonus with a wide choice of items to choose from. I would definitely recommend this Hotel, and this will be my go to Hotel for all my future stays in York.

Seen many negative reviews about this Hotel. We stayed as a couple , the hotel was amazing, rooms were perfectly clean, staff were lovely, air con worked as it should. Great fridge in room, all other necessities, shower gels etc. the COMPLIMENTARY breakfast was amazing, have been less pleased in 5* hotels . Situated within walking distance of most attractions. Thank you Hampton by Hilton Piccadilly, we had a fab stay great value for money 🙂

Breakfast and bar area along with alcohol selection not great, but clean rooms and not a bad property. Excellent location, though they didn’t tell us about the discount on parking, which is a 10 minute walk away.

We have visited York on numerous occasions over the years and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. The central location meant that it was only a short walk to the main attractions. The staff were helpful and courteous with check in and out being swift and easy. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was excellent. The rooms were modern, fresh and clean with all the amenities you would expect. The bathroom was light and airy with a powerful shower which was easy to use. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel .
