I spent one night with my 11-year-old son before climbing a very windy and wet mountain almost without exception. My son loves chains and I wanted him to experience something different and this was perfect. Lovely views, delectable breakfast, and large room. And cheaper than the premier inn!.

I booked rains farm on a birthday trip to the lake district. We were a mixed group of family and friends and stayed in the yurt by the stream, the cottage and a be room. Debbie was very helpful during booking and a great host when we were there. The variety of accommodation locations were perfect. The yurt and cottage are well equipped and welcoming relaxing places to stay. Loved the tucked away location of the yurt by the stream and it's B&B and picnic bench! Great facilities too. Excellent location for safe wast water. And Debbie had a great recommendation for a beautiful swimming pool which was one of the highlights of the weekend. Highly recommend and hope to come back!.

When we arrived, Rains Farm, especially the yurt by the river, was actually not the accommodation we had booked. We were luckily let down by a hotel which meant we were recommended rains Farm by staff at the ravenglass eskdale railway. I say luckily because I am so glad it happened because it made the weekend even more enjoyable. We called claire in a panic on a Friday asking if she had any availability. Luckily she did, she went above and beyond to get it ready as soon as possible because we had a hungry and tired 2 yearold. When we arrived, claire gave her some milk for a drink, after a rough few hours and planning a 3-hour journey home, all dissatisfied, this was more than we could have hoped for. The yurt by the stream is lovely and cozy and has everything you could need for an enjoyable stay. Our toddler was on an exciting adventure and enjoyed that the sheep were directly behind us. We will undoubtedly return because we know we have so much more to explore. Thank you for a lovely and peaceful weekend it was more than we could have hoped for.

This is a fantastic family that owns this place. friendly, courteous, and helpful. There is nothing you can do to prevent the yurt from getting hot and stuffy, except to step outside and get up. The fireplace warms the room when it's cold. The bed was really cozy and like a hotel. The location was great. The only drawback was that I did not think it was cheap for what it was and that there was no way to purchase breakfast, which kind of made me feel like you were on your own watch when I got in, and for that price I believed that breakfast wasn't an option. Personally, I wouldn't go back to the family yurt. I would have probably had more fun if I were with the kids, but I would recommend it if you enjoy this kind of thing overall. Debbie and her family were amazing, as I already stated, and this review is simply an opinion and not a plan to tarnish their industry. They do well, and there's a reason for that. Debbie, I appreciate your smile and kindness, and then, just provide my fat stomach for breakfast the next time. I don't mind paying.

We have a wonderful experience in this place, especially stayed in a yurt. The location is also very strategic, next to the big pond. The staff is very professional. The atmosphere is very comfortable. And then there is the nice thing, such as the comfy bed and warm yurts. After that, the good kind of service is also very good.
