We were made very welcome! The room was clean and comfortable - brilliant shower! Basic breakfast provided but it was all we needed. Bar times and fire escapes explained. Staff were very helpful when I realised we`d left something behind after checking out. Very cosy bar.

The stay was brilliant. Good location, and perfect little room. Plenty of goodies left out for us - hot chocolate sachets, biscuits, and even porridge pots for the morning. Lovely staff/service

The staff was friendly and helpful rooms was in need of a up lift, the bed was very clean and that goes for the room also, There was a very big breakfast and it was very well cooked, We will be back, the only down side is that there was no on site parking but we got over that. The owner did say that they was having a big refurbishment very soon .

We stayed here for 2 nights and was pleased with how central the location was. Rooms are simple and clean and have a separate rear access down to the beer garden. You get a good full English breakfast in the morning and good service in the pub of an evening. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was well priced for Bakewell which is fairly expensive to stay in. Only downside was no parking, but the council car parks are 2 minutes walk away and cheap for overnight.

It was a beautiful old style pub, very friendly welcome and just a nice place to be. The beer was in first class condition and the breakfast was great too.

Great place, simply decorated country B&B. Staff are great, asked for an early check in when i was about 2 miles away and they managed to accommodate me, and are very friendly and helpful. Rooms basic, but recently fitted and has everything you need, and cleaner than any hotel i have ever stayed in, completely immaculate. The bed however was the best part, unbelievably comfy, and flawless pressed sheets and big feather pillows and duvet. Slept like a baby. Breakfast very satisfying, chef comes to take orders (shy but lovely guy) which is a nice touch. Would recommended and would stay again.

Plus Points – Good Hotel, Central Location, Good Food Bad Points – None Date of travel 3 nights in Oct 2014 as a couple in one room Location to Attraction/s For a walking weekend in the Peak District national park, can’t be better, in the middle of the park. Location of Hotel Good Location in quiet market town Facilities Good Room, quite position at side of pub Nice Pub with friendly staff. Food Good food at reasonable prices with good fried breakfast with plenty of tea Service Good From a level headed seasoned traveller of 55+ foreign holidays. Travelled all over the world for all types of holidays, sun/sea, ski, safari, city break, cruise etc. Travelled as a couple, a group of friends and as a family. Would stay here again

Excellent service, staff very friendly, barman knows his stuff, he new barrel was running low and offered me another beer rather than giving me the dregs as some pubs would. Room was clean, furniture a little worn but adequate, comfy bed, a unique way of strengthening the bed, but it works. (I looked under the bed to check we hadn't left anything) Good breakfast. Bakewell is a great place. Parking on the front is limited, but we dropped our bags off first then parked in the main car park 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay again.

The Red Lion is ideally situated in Bakewell, although there is no parking at the accommodation, there is plenty nearby. The only negative comment id make about the accommodation is the double bed is very small, other than that the rooms are very clean etc The town is very quiet, and there's not a lot happening on an evening

Well placed in centre of Bakewell. Friendly staff. Nice large double bedroom with en suite. As they don't serve breakfast there were a couple of complimentary porridge pots and breakfast biscuits. Tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of t-bags, milk, coffee and hot chocolate sachets with packets of biscuits. Hallway outside room decoration was looking a bit tired. Had a very nice evening meal in the pub
