Asilomar is a very special place, I love the history. We stayed in one of the historic rooms, so charming. It’s no frills, but has everything you need. We really enjoyed the outside fire pit and visiting with other guests. The lodge is beautiful. A peaceful morning rocking by the fire was amazing.

Fantastic Julia Morgan property with wonderful details. Shower big enough to spin around in. Like stepping into the past. Beautiful grounds. Can walk to the beach. Need to drive nearly everywhere else.

Great Julia Morgan architecture and fantastic to be able to walk to the beach! Great location close to 17-Mile Drive and Carmel. Convenient parking and close to Highway 1. Friendly staff and good coffee shop onsite.

My only suggestion would be for smaller or à la carte menu items for the dining hall as it would be wonderful to enjoy that even if one didn’t wish for a full meal. Thank you

The rooms are dated but that’s part of the charm. The walk to the beach is so nice, only takes about 10 minutes depending on where your room is. We are a family of 5 in a multi bed room and everyone had their own bed with plenty of space. The pool was so fun, it’s huge and deep enough to dive, heated but still refreshing!

This has been our 3rd stay In this facility. We loved it , bec it was close walking to the beach , we feel safe and close to all great restaurants. What I also loved is that, it feels home , and family feel community. I doesn’t feel so commercialized… is just simple family and relaxing place. We ‘ll come back again , with my friends. Thank you!
