The Blackwell is currently a hotel and event center. I was told the house was constructed in 1905 and for several years operated as a B&B, which is pretty close to what we experienced for our one night stay! Great breakfast and amenities! Our bedroom was small but very comfortable. I took lots of pictures because it was so beautifully restored!

Everything was clean and wonderful. Breakfast was very yummy in the morning and downtown was a nice walk away.

Perfect for introverts like us, clean room, patient and courteous staff. Come here if you don't like the resort! They offer a real breakfast including freshly cooked offerings.

The staff is always super friendly, and every room is unique and always clean. It's super close to all the stuff to do downtown

We loved our stay . The only suggestions would be that the breakfast could be earlier - 9 am is late if you have plans for the day . Also the front / main door can be difficult to open - we had to try repeatedly, as did other guests . We would definitely stay here again .

We loved the room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and took place in the exceptional beauty of the main house! We plan on going back in the future. Thank you Blackwell!

The rooms are delightful and clean. The ambience is great. The breakfast was pretty good and the service and staff were excellent. The building and its environment feel safe and are an excellent getaway.

Yes- spotless room and accommodating staff. The breakfasts were lovely and sitting in front of the fireplaces added to the ambiance. We were a four night stay- we did notice the room (7) was chilly the last morning. Not sure if the vents were working.

Beautiful hotel, and spacious room. We had a private bathroom across the hall. There are eating locations an easy walk away. The hotel was noisy as we could hear people on below floor, but night was fine as used white noise devices we brought. The bed wasn’t all that comfortable, and I got cold at night. But we give it 5 stars because it’s such a nice place. I really liked the easy check-in using text messages. Breakfast had a nice variety.

This was the fifth time we stayed at the Blackwell. It has become our favorite hotel in Coeur d’Alene. Everything is easy and convenient. We will stay there as long as we have a reason to go to Idaho.

We had an absolutely amazing time at the Blackwell Inn. Check-in was super easy with texts, as it is all self-check-in. They give ample details so we weren’t left wondering about anything. Parking was street parking, though we never walked more than a quarter block, but often was right in front of the hotel. The location is walking distance to everything we wanted and needed, so we barely drove anywhere. But the best part of the Blackwell Inn is the house and the rooms. It is gorgeous and has such an amazing feel. We loved our large room with its super comfortable king size bed and own bathroom. It felt like a small apartment, we never felt cramped. We would stay again in a heartbeat. I can’t speak to the breakfast offered every morning, as we are early risers and we were off before breakfast was offered at 9:00. Though it did smell amazing when we returned. And as it was included, I do wish we would have eaten at least one breakfast. Overall, the only negative I can say is the floor creaked, which was actually charming with the lovely wood floors. We had a fantastic experience.
