Operator-franchise owners are restoring an older hotel. In my room the hair dryer was partly installed and the older TV remote did not yet allow beyond one weather channel. But the room was impeccably clean,comfortable and provided at a reasonable rate. I discovered after proceeding on my trip that I had left my plastic dental retainers and knew exactly where tI had left them. Housecleaning staff were caring enough to set them aside and did not just throw them in the trash. I returned 5 hrs later and staff quickly located and returned them. Most places would have just swept them into waste. Really good people operating and renovating this motel. I'd give them 10-stars if I could.

My stay was nice and peaceful. They are working on updating the hotel as it just recently switched. I enjoyed the peace and quiet. Someone was always available to answer my questions and check in was nice and smooth.

The motel was ok. Clean and had a good breakfast in the morning. The pool and fitness room was filled with junk and the floor was dirty. Toilet cover in our room was broken so the toilet cover moved side to side about 3”. There was ink or lipstick on the wall in the room with the toilet. No information in the room as to food delivery or what business was close by.

We had room 118. The shower was plumbed terribly with a bad caulking job and the hotel overall felt very dated. The breakfast was more of a nook. If it weren't for the waffle iron, it would have been terrible. We never saw anyone refresh the breakfast area while we were down there. The other party we were with had a leaky air conditioner (room 215). So they had to put the ice bucket underneath it overnight. They also had to dump it out at one point since the bucket was full. However, the hotel was very clean, and it felt very safe. Also, you're in a small town in the middle of Wisconsin. A dated hotel is to be expected. The price was very affordable, which balanced out the issues above. We were only there one night, and it worked well for our needs. Just needs a little TLC.

Actually it was a nice clean room except for the widow. The window was a leaky and fogged in one section. My room was on the second floor with no elevator, but the stairs were doable. The exterior does need a lot of work with landscaping and entrance, but don't let that scare you away.

1. No elevator- buyer beware! 2. Their "standard room" is a single queen bed. I assume a standard room is two queens but that's my fault for assuming. Issue was that when I asked if the guy at the desk could move us to a "standard DOUBLE room" and he nearly had a nervous breakdown and told me he would have to mark me down as a no-show and cancel the reservation. I told him no because I would get charged and he just sighed heavily and covered his face like I had demanded the moon! He finally figured out that he could just charge me the difference but it was a lot of huffing! 3. There was some kind of black gunk falling from the exhaust fan in the bathroom and the lining of the room darkening curtains were all ripped up letting quite a bit of light thru. 4. Everything in the hotel is run down. The furniture is all scraped up and the bottom drawer of the dresser was completely broken. It's like everything was bought or found on the side of the road. The price reflects some of this, but next time we will probably go down the road for a slightly more expensive stay!

The whole experience was odd from beginning to end and not hospitable at all. When my husband called to be sure it was pet friendly after an online search they quoted him a price twice as much as the online rate. We had to sign a form that they would call animal control if the dog was left in the room alone. And the toilet seat in our roof was just gross.— in need of replacement five years ago.

The rooms were dirty, air conditioners didn't work properly and flooded the carpet underneath, no toilet paper, not enough towels was told had to wait until following day when cleaning staff came in. One room air conditioner was dripping a substance staff said it was glue????

The first room smelled like cat piss. Wouldn’t give us our money back. Said we could have another room but if we used the tub we would be charged 60.00 extra dollars. We will never use or recommend the place to anyone again !!!
