This Hotel is in the perfect location downtown. It is walking distance to alot of musemums and parks. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel also have a resturant in it that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner with a cost.

My wife is in a wheelchair and we were very happy the pool lift was operational and the battery was charged. However there was a bit of confusion at the front desk when we asked about the battery, they are generally stored somewhere and only hooked up when needed, but they weren't sure where or how to get them. Luckily the maintenance guy got it squared away once they called him. They were really helpful and accommodating. Next time we go to GR we'll stay here.

Check in was easy with plenty of staff. The rooms and hotel property were clean and updated. The hotel is centrally located downtown next to the Gerald Ford and Grand Rapids Museum. It has all the amenities one needs including complimentary parking. We stayed the night to enjoy a concert at the Van Andel arena. The hotel offered a complimentary shuttle - a 5 minute ride, to the event. It was very easy to arrange. After the concert, the van was next to the arena for pickup. Due to all the traffic, we decided to walk back to the hotel using the Blue Bridge. It was a quick 10 minute walk. We felt very safe. Next time there is an event in Grand Rapids we want to attend, this Holiday Inn gets our vote. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
