I know everything says excellent but thats because everything IS excellent. The pictures just dont do this casita justice. This vacay has been easy and relaxing. Doesnt even matter that its gotten up to 113 degrees because we are close to everything and this room is perfect. Spacious. Goos suzed mini fridge and microw. The coffee maker takes kcups and coffee creamer and sugars are provided. The bathroom is lovely. The shower is huge. There is a table that seats 4 and a huge comfy couch too. Plenty of room if we had 4 people and needed to make the sofa bed too. Private porch. Its (I'll go ahead and say it) Just darling.

After staying at a couple of nights at high-end resort rooms in the Big Bend area--which were "just okay" in terms of room size, we were pleasantly surprised to open the door to the Emory room at Paisano RV Park & Inn. Instead of an older, dark room what we found at Paisanos was a bright, super large one bedroom apartment: seating area, kitchen, small dining table and chairs, and a lovely king size bedroom. The bed was incredibly comfy, the bathroom was large also. The location was not far from the Starlight Theater Restaurant ; the entrance to the Big Bend Ranch State Park was also close-by. The exterior of the building (with big wire dinosaur) and plain edifice was somewhat deceiving, and not at all indicative of the room we enjoyed for our one night stay. If we get to return to the Big Bend area, this would be our first choice for an accommodation, (albeit no pool, golf course or fancy courtyards at the resorts). We do recommend the nearby Far Flung Outdoor Center that arranged for our canoe paddling experience down the Rio Grande.

What a wonderful find. Tucked away in the middle of the desert, this property feels like a true escape — the kind of place you don't expect to come across but are so glad you did. The amenities are excellent, the atmosphere is genuinely peaceful, and the attention to detail (including a ceiling fan, which every room should have) makes it clear that comfort was a priority here. We arrived late on a Thursday to Big Bend NP and needed a place for the evening, we found this place on Expedia. I reached out to the phone number to make sure a 10 pm check in would be okay and Patti got back to be super quick and confirmed. It was perfect night for a sleep and adventure into the park. Location is fantastic, so fantastic that when our tent failed after a heavy rain, we booked another night when we were able.
